Job Description

Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer – Financial Infrastructure, Payments

1KOMMA5°

• You will architect the billing, invoicing, and monetization systems behind the global energy transition — a unified internal platform. • By designing and operating everything from invoicing and subscriptions to PSP-supported payments and reconciliations, you make sustainable energy financially sound and operationally scalable. • The audit trails, templates, and integrations you build are what finance teams and customers rely on as we expand across markets. • As a software engineer at 1KOMMA5°, you will take technical ownership of key systems and features, drive architectural decisions, and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. • You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to shape our technical direction and deliver high-impact solutions. • Beyond building solutions, you will mentor teammates, foster engineering excellence, and help take our development and deployment practices to the next level.

Job Requirements

  • Experience writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code in TypeScript, with strong skills in both frontend frameworks and backend technologies.
  • Strong understanding of API design, data modeling, and system integration (RESTful or GraphQL), including patterns for idempotent money movements and auditable billing events where relevant.
  • Proven ability to take features end-to-end, from UX and architecture through deployment and monitoring.
  • A pragmatic, product-focused approach that balances technical excellence with delivering customer value for regulated or finance-adjacent operations.
  • Curiosity and initiative to explore new tools and methods that improve product quality and engineering efficiency.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (German is a plus).
  • Residence in Germany.

Benefits

  • You will be part of an international, dynamic, and highly motivated team.
  • Your work accelerates the energy transition and has a direct impact on the climate.
  • You will work with and learn from other highly talented colleagues.
  • You have direct access to decision-makers.
  • You join one of Europe’s fastest-growing scale-ups full-time.
  • You work remotely (Germany-wide), with offices in Hamburg, Berlin, or Munich.
  • Maintain a healthy work-life balance and enjoy all benefits of EGYM Wellpass.
  • Benefits and discounts through Futurebens.
  • Be flexible with our company bike leasing and do something good for the environment at the same time.
