Dispute & Deduction Expert

Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Deduction Analyst to join our Order-to-Cash (O2C) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing customer deductions, investigating payment discrepancies, resolving disputes, and ensuring timely recovery of invalid deductions. This role requires strong analytical skills, customer interaction experience, and a thorough understanding of Accounts Receivable and Deduction Management processes. - Review, analyze, and resolve customer deductions: Trade, non-Trade, Front end, and disputes. - Investigate short payments, chargebacks, pricing claims, promotional deductions, returns, shortages, and freight claims. - Validate deduction claims against contracts, pricing agreements, proof of delivery, and supporting documentation. - Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Finance teams for dispute resolution. - Prepare dispute packages and follow up with customers for recovery of unauthorized deductions. - Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate deduction records. - Ensure timely closure of deductions within agreed SLA timelines. - Monitor aging reports and drive reduction of outstanding deductions. Qualifications - Operating in at Junior “Mid Junior level in a Finance support or professional role. - Operating as a Finance specialist supporting small and medium sized finance exercises. - Building skills for a more specialized Finance service. - May start to manage others. - Manage working relationships with stakeholders for the business areas supported. - Able to act on own initiative but will require supervision. Requirements - Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring deductions. - Generate periodic reports and provide management updates on deduction trends and recovery performance. - Support month-end closing activities related to Accounts Receivable and deductions.
