The Opportunity The Director of Media Investment leads the in-house performance marketing function across paid social, affiliate, intent-based media, and programmatic/biddable channels, driving buying strategy, execution, and ongoing optimization across the digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for advancing a test-and-learn agenda, leading key measurement and attribution partnerships, and managing critical vendor relationships tied to business commitments. The director also plays a central role in shaping the future of performance media by ushering Ally toward advancements in AI, while orchestrating media enablement and operational excellence across adtech infrastructure, measurement, site tagging, audience and data connectivity, and AI-driven buying and execution. The Work Itself - Lead the in-house performance media team responsible for paid social, affiliate, intent media, including SEM, LLM, and social search, as well as programmatic and other biddable channels. - Partner closely with the Director of Media Strategy & Planning to execute on media plans with excellence - Develop and execute digital tests aligned to the organization's broader test-and-learn agenda, using insights to inform optimization and future investment decisions. Actively partner with cross-functional team members to develop KPIs and investment roadmaps. Be a leader from test design to execution and application of learning. - Identify and execute on AI advancements for Ally within the performance media ecosystem, evaluating, and implementing the right tools and martech stack in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders. - Serve as media lead for the MTA TransUnion partnership, overseeing collaboration, measurement strategy, and attribution enablement. - Continuously optimize our social platform/tactic mix to deliver high-performing media investments that reach and resonate with our target audience - Serve as lead for the AppsFlyer MMP relationship, managing platform strategy, mobile measurement capabilities, and ongoing optimization. - Lead platform and vendor relationships, including accountability for JBP commitments and performance against agreed business objectives. - Orchestrate media enablement and operational excellence across adtech infrastructure, measurement enablement, site tagging, audience strategy, data connectivity, and AI-driven buying and execution. - Build and train a talented team to strategize, plan, execute and optimize our digital campaigns across channels - Lead collaboration with our onsite partners to establish full end to end customer and prospect journeys from offsite marketing to onsite personalization. - Stay abreast of advancements in the industry; adtech solutions; data providers; etc. - Work closely with analytics and team leaders to deliver executive-level results and insights - Act as the SME for all things performance media, which includes collaborating with creative on developing assets based on best practices; historical learnings; strong knowledge of digital ad formats and capabilities - Ensure the establishment of best practices and standard operating procedures for business continuity The Skills You Bring Minimum Qualifications - 9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience - High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred Qualifications - 9+ years experience in digital/social marketing with a focus on measurement and delivering KPIs - Bachelors degree in marketing or other related field - Expertise in Marketing Technology platforms - Strong leadership background, preferably at a brand or agency - Hands-on-keyboard experience with trading and/or working in DSPs and social dashboards - Advanced knowledge of the full funnel digital ecosystem, key players, revenue models, big data - Strong background with online data management and optimization platforms - Advanced analytical ability - Skilled presenter with ability to make complex ideas easy to understand - Proven ability to adapt to a changing environment - Experience working with cross functional teams - Excellent verbal and written communications skills - Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization - Project management skills - Self starter How We'll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
