Help Desk Support Specialist

Nuvitek

• Will support the operation of a Help Desk (24x7 manning), providing consolidated, comprehensive technical assistance for software maintenance support for a US Government customer. • Provide technical support for COTS products and customized desktop applications, web applications, databases, user account administration issues, and technical/functional support for individual user problems. • Supports response to system user requests for assistance. • Supports on-the-spot diagnostic evaluation. The scope of this support includes resolving the problem/providing support over the phone, or escalating the issue to the appropriate tier for resolution. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Isolated environment with an internet connection in which to work remotely. • Primary work shift will be weekdays Midnights EST but may include weekends periodically.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to pass a background screening and obtain and maintain Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT and 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Requires strong analytical and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Experience supporting users of Microsoft products.

This role is ideal for someone who is warm and professional, but also confident enough to push technicians, clients, vendors, and leadership until tasks are fully completed. - Manage and monitor the Autotask ticket queue, ensuring tickets are assigned, updated, and documented properly. - Follow up with technicians, clients, and vendors to keep service requests and open items moving toward resolution. - Review time entries and ticket documentation to support accurate billing and invoicing. - Track and follow up on quotes, leads, and opportunities using Growably / GoHighLevel. - Coordinate scheduling for onsite visits, discovery calls, and client meetings. - Monitor contracts, renewals, licenses, subscriptions, and warranty expirations. - Coordinate with vendors and distributors regarding orders, renewals, and pricing requests. - Maintain operational reports and trackers for tickets, quotes, renewals, and pending decisions. - Drive accountability by ensuring tasks, requests, and follow-ups are completed on time.
