Job Description

Executive Compensation Consultant, Expert Testimony Experience

J.S. Held LLC

• Support forensic engagements in matrimonial litigation, including income analysis, lifestyle analysis, tracing of separate vs. marital property, and cash flow analysis • Oversee day-to-day case workflow, timelines, and deliverables across multiple concurrent matters across a variety of different industries • Provide technical guidance and review work product for quality and consistency • Contribute to staff training and professional development initiatives • Maintain current knowledge of developments in forensic accounting standards, executive compensation trends, family law, tax implications in divorce, and relevant case law • Deliver thought leadership on exec. compensation strategies, program architecture, and incentive plan design

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in executive compensation consulting, with meaningful focus on litigious matters
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior testimony experience is required
  • Experience managing engagements and supervising junior staff
  • Exposure to expert witness work and family law proceedings required
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to translate complex financial findings for legal audiences
  • Ability to review and synthesize large volumes of complex information and documentation
  • Ability to prepare written reports and deliver clear, concise, and defensible opinions
  • Comfortable presenting findings and providing testimony in depositions, arbitration, or court settings
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, including in adversarial or high-stakes environments
  • Maintain professionalism, composure, and credibility while being questioned or challenged
  • CPA highly preferred but not required; Compensation credentials, such as CCP, CECP, etc. strongly preferred or actively in progress
  • Master’s Degree
