We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, has command over the full social landscape, and can clearly articulate the role social plays in the overall brand strategy. This role requires a hybrid of creative and strategic skills, including expertise in the nuances of paid social advertising. The AD will manage direct reports and support both existing clients and new-business initiatives. Areas of Focus: - Lead the development of integrated social media strategies that align with business objectives, brand positioning, audience insights, and broader marketing initiatives. - Translate consumer, cultural, social listening, and performance data into actionable insights that inform content, campaign, community management, creator, and paid social strategies. - Develop channel-specific content and engagement frameworks, identify the right role for each platform and optimize strategies to drive awareness, consideration, engagement, and conversion. - Define measurement plans, KPIs, and reporting frameworks; analyze performance and deliver strategic recommendations that continuously improve business and social outcomes. - Serve as the primary strategic partner to our largest social media client, providing thought leadership, proactive recommendations, and clear guidance on social trends, platform evolution, content opportunities, and competitive activity. Qualifications/Traits: - 7+ years of experience dedicated to social media strategy, digital marketing, or integrated communications, preferably at an agency. - Deep expertise across major social platforms, social listening tools, creator/influencer ecosystems, emerging trends, and paid social best practices. - Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data, research, and cultural insights into clear strategic direction. - Proven experience leading large, complex client businesses and influencing cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing solutions. - Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and client management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at both working team and executive levels. - Experience with issues management, social listening, and crisis communications. - Working experience with social listening tools, platform ad managers, and content scheduling tools. - A bachelor’s degree in journalism, advertising, strategic communications, or public relations or relevant experience. The salary range for this position is listed below. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to budget, relevant experience, qualifications, and tenure in similar roles.
