Role Description The job profile for this position is Product Development Senior Advisor, which is a Band 4 Senior Contributor Career Track Role. Come bring your expertise, curiosity, and energy to the Network & Benefits Strategy Team in Product/Core Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, developing, supporting, and implementing innovative short and long-term medical network & benefit strategies to sustain and drive profitability and growth for the commercial market segment. Developing and delivering new solutions will allow Cigna Healthcare to remain competitive and will be the focus on this role. Network and benefit solutions also are key for achieving our enterprise’s affordability and strategic goals. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our wide constituency of partners, including Medical, Clinical, Pricing, Legal, Technology and Compliance. This role is perfect if you are looking to refine your product management skills on complex projects and expand your breadth of knowledge on the most fundamental aspects of our health care business. Primary Responsibilities - Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of new core solutions in National network and benefits. - Create and present strategy recommendations, and roadmaps for network and alternative plan design concepts informed with competitive and market insights, research, pricing and underwriting intelligence. - Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of other team-directed, enterprise, and baseline initiatives that impact medical benefits and networks, including the creation and maintenance of the benefit offering and its plan language. - Effectively understand the details of complex projects to be considered product SME, while also being able to communicate and escalate risks appropriately to management to remove barriers and create awareness. - Build effective relationships and partnerships with matrix organizations to identify new solutions and enhancements that will result in increased membership/earnings. - Identify intersections and opportunities associated with product solutions and benefit-based programs. - Effectively communicate both up and down organization structure about strategies, developments, risks etc. - Deliver solutions and issue resolutions with swift and decisive action. - Drive resolution of client and customer issues, identifying root causes and solutions. - Partner with Go-To-Market and Marketing to develop Sales communications, sell-against guidance, and business-to-business and business-to-customer material that ensure successful positioning of medical benefit strategies to achieve desired outcomes. - Determine optimal offerings to comply with state and federal legislation while remaining competitive and affordable. - Manage specific benefits, products, and initiatives as needed. - Design and execute market research engagements to inform future benefit strategy direction. Qualifications - Superior written and verbal communication skills to both higher and lower levels of the organization. - Demonstrated experience in project management and product ownership at a SME and/or stakeholder level. - Ability to understand the concept and the details and navigate with ease between the two while creating practical solutions. - Strong influencing and presentation skills; can convey complex information in an understandable way tailored to various internal and external audiences. - Demonstrated financial acumen and experience putting together business cases. - Highly-organized in managing meaningful level of details for multiple deliverables, shifting priorities, and ambiguity. - Experience with Agile and portfolio management / delivery processes. - Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Strong PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills. - Strategic and creative thinker with ability to translate strategies into actions, requirements, and implementation. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with personnel at all levels. - Experience working with / managing outside vendors is ideal. - Curious and optimistic; enjoys working side-by-side with teammates, leaders, and partners; actively learns and shares. - Independently drives solutions to completion with guidance from leadership and in close collaboration with matrix partners. - Data analytic capability to understand complex data sets and drive data analysis requirements to evolve products and solutions and to produce proof points and marketing claims externally. - Bachelor's degree (preferred), advanced degree, or equivalent experience. - 4+ years of experience with medical benefits, product management, or medical account management. - Expertise in one or more of the following: Underwriting/Sales; account management / case implementation; Medical Management; Clinical; Legal and Compliance. Requirements - If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
