Role Description Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a Sr Staff Groundwater Modeler with 6-10 years’ experience to join our Private Sector Enterprise. The position focuses on the development and application of digital solutions related to quantitative hydrogeology with specific experience in performing and directing groundwater flow and contaminant transport studies. - Perform complex groundwater flow and transport modeling assignments under the direction of senior technical staff. - Work on a variety of environmental remediation, permitting, and water resources projects throughout the United States. - Build robust, repeatable, and scalable solutions for complex groundwater models. - Develop program code to incorporate computer software applications as part of the solutions. - Handle incomplete hydrologic data sets and evaluate impacts of poorly understood parameters on model performance. - Target areas for numerical modeling include: - Mine Permitting and Reclamation - Site and Basin-Scale Industrial Remediation - Groundwater Recharge, Storage, and Recovery - Source Water and Aquifer Hydrologic Characterization - Water Resources Management and Planning - This role has the potential to work virtually and can be filled near any BC office, with a preference for Denver, Boise, Phoenix, Boston, Houston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Portland, Seattle, Reno, Carson City, or Sacramento.
