Associate Product Designer
Toast
• Collaborate within a team of designers, product managers, and engineers. • Assist more senior designers on sophisticated, inventory-centric capabilities. • Refine the Toast UX so non-restaurant customers feel at home. • Implement AI-supported workflows across product features. • Develop native mobile inventory solutions. • Design onboarding flows that accelerate time-to-value for customers. • Contribute to a retail and fuel mode on POS devices.
Job Requirements
- Experience (1-2 years): Demonstrated ability to deliver designs grounded in a design system, process feedback with ease, push for cleaner, easier-to-use UIs and work well with triad partners and design team members.
- AI Integration & Judgment: Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance the product design process.
- Core UX/UI Expertise: Solid understanding of UX principles and best practices for both web and native mobile applications, along with a strong grasp of platform-specific UX and UI patterns.
- Good communication skills coupled with a proactive mindset for sharing work early and often.
- Proficient in design software (preferably Figma), including maintaining clean files and delivering pixel-perfect final UI designs for handoff.
- Able to take feedback constructively and pivot quickly when necessary.
- A strong ability to understand and empathize with users, designing digital experiences that delight and create a sense of accomplishment.
- Familiarity with corporate design systems, knowing how to apply them appropriately, and possessing the judgment to push beyond them when innovation requires it.
- Willingness to directly engage with customers to gather feedback and generate ideas for advancing product features.

The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience.
