Retirement Plan Operations Specialist
Smart IMS Inc.
• Review, research, and process routine retirement plan transactions • Process enrollments, contributions, distributions, and corrections accurately • Monitor and manage incoming work queues to ensure timely completion • Maintain strict confidentiality of participant and plan sponsor data • Provide routine technical retirement plan information to internal and external stakeholders • Escalate issues to senior team members or management as appropriate • Support departmental and enterprise initiatives and contribute to continuous process improvement • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent retirement services experience
- Direct experience with employer-funded plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and 457 plans
- Strong background in processing transactions including enrollments, contributions, distributions, and money movement (in/out)
- Experience handling corrections and complex transaction processing
- Prior experience with major retirement service providers such as Voya, AIG, Empower, TIAA-CREF, or Fidelity
- Annuities experience is a plus
- Experience with Excel (including spreadsheets and macros) and systems such as SSNC/Smartdesk Track
