Construction Superintendent

Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation

• Supervise, direct and ensure safety of UICN work crews & subcontractors in all aspects of commercial construction • Read and interpret plans and specifications, read and correct shop drawings and utilize/maintain project schedule • Maintain worker safety and an accident-free work environment in strict compliance with OSHA rules • Perform Quality Control functions • Collaborate with Project Manager to budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and general working environment • Collaborate with Project Manager to review and update project schedule and three weeks look ahead scheduling • Logistics management of barging & air cargo efforts • Unload, stage & store material, food & equipment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with the specific project, including owner’s representatives, and the location of tools and equipment
  • Valid driver’s license and three (3) year clean driving record
  • 15 years of construction experience (preferred)
  • 7–10 years of experience in a supervisory role (preferred)
  • Experience working on remote school construction projects (preferred)
  • Experience managing remote construction projects (preferred)
  • Familiarity with cloud-based construction management systems (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems (preferred)
