• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions. • Design, implement, and integrate AI features into existing 8am products. • Partner with the Data team to ensure the right data is collected, enriched, prepared, and staged for AI consumption and use. • Build and evaluate AI-powered services, from customer-facing prototypes to general availability to all our customers. • Write high-quality Python code to manipulate data, interact with large language models, and assess performance. • Develop tools and infrastructure to support reliable, scalable, and secure AI deployment. • Work with our cloud operations team to deploy AI features, monitor their impact, and continuously improve them.

• Shape and evolve engineering standards and shared technical patterns across teams. • Ensure products and services maintain high quality, reliability, and measurable value • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers across the Engineering team • Identify, track, and report on key quality measures of product engagement and value • Provide architectural leadership to empowered product teams, guiding the design and evolution of high-quality, scalable systems.

• Contribute to and lead feature implementations in a collaborative environment, accounting for open-source community participation where appropriate. • Be responsible for product quality, participate in peer code reviews, continuous integration (CI), and secure engineering. • Coordinate with team leads, architects, and other engineers on solution design and architecture. • Participate in Agile development practices and, where appropriate, educate the team on new features through sprint reviews and demos. • Help shape key technical decisions for the platform.
