Role Description The Senior Salesforce Administrator, Sales Operations will serve as the second member of POWERX’s Sales Operations team, partnering with the Director of Sales Operations to scale the Salesforce platform and the broader sales technology stack that powers day-to-day sales, project, and field operations. This role owns hands-on Salesforce administration, automation, and reporting, supports the integrations connecting Salesforce to POWERX’s ERP, PSA, workforce, and field systems, and contributes to the ongoing maturation of the Sales Operations team’s collaboration and change-management practices. As POWERX continues to grow organically and through acquisitions, this person will be a key contributor to integrating new business units into the sales technology stack and driving sales force productivity through tooling, process improvement, and end-user enablement. Supervisory Responsibilities - None. Duties/Responsibilities - Salesforce Administration & Automation - Serve as a senior administrator on POWERX’s Salesforce production org, owning day-to-day configuration including objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, permission sets, and profiles. - Design, build, test, and maintain declarative automation using Flow, including record-triggered flows, screen flows, and scheduled flows. - Read and lightly modify Apex triggers and classes; partner with internal staff or external developers for more complex Apex or Lightning Web Component development as needed. - Manage user provisioning, license allocation, and security model changes, including for newly acquired business units. - Maintain data quality through scheduled deduplication, account merging, and data hygiene work; partner with sales and operations support to operationalize a quarterly data quality cadence. - Reporting & Analytics - Build, maintain, and continuously improve Salesforce reports and dashboards used by the sales team, sales managers, executive leadership, and finance. - Translate business questions into report logic, custom report types, formula fields, and roll-up summaries. - Support quarterly and annual forecasting cycles in partnership with Finance, including weighted pipeline calculations, probability rules, and stage definitions. - Develop salesperson, sales manager, service line, and executive dashboards that surface leading and lagging indicators of sales performance. - Collaboration & Change Management - Partner with the Director of Sales Operations to evaluate incoming business requests through a collaborative design review, applying Salesforce platform best practices that balance near-term delivery with long-term maintainability. - Operate within POWERX’s established sandbox-to-production workflow utilizing VS Code, Git-based version control, and additional Salesforce DevOps practices to maintain visibility into in-flight work and prevent deployment conflicts. - Lead the ongoing maturation of POWERX’s Salesforce change-management practice and coordinate review, testing, and deployment of Salesforce changes as the team grows or engages external partners and contractors. - Integrations - Operate, monitor, and improve POWERX’s existing Salesforce integrations (including NetSuite, Connecteam, GoFormz, Egnyte, Klient, and Outlook), diagnosing and resolving integration failures as they occur. - Lead Salesforce-side design and implementation of new integrations using Boomi (POWERX’s standard middleware platform) and direct API integrations as the use case warrants. - Support M&A integration efforts, including data migration, account and contact merging, customer/item mapping, and process harmonization for newly acquired business units. - End-User Enablement & Process Improvement - Partner with sales, sales management, operations support, billing, and field service teams to capture requirements and turn them into Salesforce solutions. - Build training materials, release notes, and how-to documentation for end users. - Conduct training sessions for power users and new hires on core Salesforce processes including quoting, account creation, opportunity management, and closed-won workflows. - Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation and process redesign. - Additional responsibilities and tasks as required to support the organization’s goals and adapt to evolving business needs.
