Tax Analyst – Commerce/Services

• Organize and participate in audits and verifications on state portals and related systems, including verification of general information; • Filing of ancillary obligations (DeSTDA, Sintegra, SPED Fiscal and related filings); • Registration and maintenance of company records within workflows; • Client communication and relationship management; • Responding to questions in group forums and Q&A channels; • Resolving state-level tax issues; • Preparing studies and conducting necessary training on state-related tax matters; • Organizing the team to ensure compliance with state routines and deadlines; • Monitoring changes in state tax legislation and other legal updates that impact routines; • Researching new technologies and implementing automation in departmental processes;

Job Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of tax legislation;
  • Advanced knowledge of specific taxation rules and regimes;
  • Advanced knowledge of fiscal routines and procedures;
  • Ability to lead client meetings on specific tax and fiscal issues;
  • Advanced experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, with emphasis on formulas/spreadsheets;
  • Advanced knowledge of calculations for tax rate differentials (DIFAL), tax anticipation and ICMS Tax Substitution;
  • Advanced knowledge of the monophase collection regime for PIS and COFINS;
  • Advanced skills in tax analysis and tax calculation/assessment;
  • Advanced experience using government portals and resolving outstanding issues;
  • Advanced knowledge of Cost and Management Accounting;
  • Skills in Tax Planning;
  • Proficiency in issuing invoices for merchandise movements;
  • Advanced knowledge of Simples Nacional and Presumed Profit (Lucro Presumido) regimes;
  • Advanced knowledge of ICMS legislation and state-level agreements;
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting entries and bookkeeping;
  • Advanced knowledge of ancillary obligations at the state and federal level, including SPED Fiscal;
  • Advanced knowledge of procedures for incoming and outgoing invoices;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Ciências Contábeis);

Role Description The eProcurement Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and administration of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform, assisting Procurement’s strategic efforts in establishing and executing standards that increase process efficiencies and savings. This position will interact with sourcing and purchasing professionals to identify catalogs, supplier enablement opportunities, and contract content to update the P2P platform (Coupa) accordingly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Serves as a subject matter expert team for Procurement systems (eProcurement). - Identifies and executes on opportunities to revamp or correct item classifications and any other attributes involving item precision. - Enables and maintains a variety of catalog types, including internal and external (i.e. punch out) catalogs. - Manages users, groups, roles, permissions and other configuration settings, within a specific business system. - Interprets contracts for appropriate content to be loaded into the Coupa P2P platform and loads that content for benefit of tracking, commitment, payment, and spend analysis. - Troubleshoots master data setup/other system issues as well as interface between the Coupa P2P system and other systems. - Provides second level business system support to end users. - Performs end-to-end system testing and partners with stakeholders throughout the process. - Acts as a liaison with the system provider regarding functional issues, upgrades and general system maintenance. - Supports special projects such as new property openings and rollout of new system functionality. - Uses various tools to evaluate system metrics such as spend, compliance to invoicing, catalog vs. non-catalog usage, etc. - Supports training efforts surrounding current and future system enhancements. - Other duties as assigned.
