Role Description As a Principal Application Architect at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve — a community’s most vulnerable. Here are the details on this position: - Define the end-to-end application and solution architectures necessary to support incoming customer initiatives and programs. - Focus areas include: - Business - Information - Application - Infrastructure / Cloud - Network - Security - Technical Operations - Compliance at both State and Federal levels - Identify and address architecturally significant changes across multiple projects. - Complete architecture impact assessments and prepare technical documentation. - Present solutions to the Account Architecture Review Board (ARB). - Assign architecture resources across a portfolio of projects and provide mentorship to junior staff. - Perform final reviews on document deliverables that will reach the customer. - Regular interaction with multiple levels of leadership, including: - Project Management Office (PMO) - Project teams - Infrastructure and security teams - The customer Qualifications - Ten or more years of application architecture and/or product development experience. - Experience with architecture framework methodologies such as TOGAF. - Experience with software systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure. - Knowledge of application design principles and product configurations. - Familiarity with programming languages, databases, tooling, operating systems, infrastructure, and cloud technologies. - Understanding of software development lifecycles and client requirements. - Leadership skills to guide and mentor less experienced personnel. - Good communication skills to interact with customers, support personnel, application development personnel, and management. - Strongly Preferred: Enterprise Architecture experience within a Healthcare environment. - Experience in driving Enterprise Architecture initiatives for large Accounts, State and Federal Accounts. - Ability to produce technical roadmaps, architecture diagrams, and supporting documentation. - Experience conducting technical research, testing, and evaluation of complex IT systems. - Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile.
