Job Description CD PROJEKT RED is seeking an Expert Rendering Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in extending Unreal Engine 5 for Cyberpunk 2 — the successor to a game recognized for its rendering innovation. You will architect and develop core rendering features, optimize GPU usage and performance, and help shape the rendering foundation of our game. This is an opportunity to work on a highly ambitious project with a talented team, contributing to systems that empower developers to create outstanding gameplay experiences. Daily Responsibilities Architect and implement engine enhancements to meet performance and functionality requirements. Qualifications Extensive professional experience in game development, including significant focus on rendering architecture. Experience contributing to a shipped game project in a production environment. Experience developing for consoles (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation) and PC platforms. Strong proficiency in C++. Strong experience with GPU-driven rendering pipeline techniques. Deep understanding of data structures, streaming workflows, and multithreaded programming. Experience with low-level GPU profiling, debugging, and optimization. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions. Commitment to high technical standards and advancing game engine technology. Clear communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach to teamwork. Nice to Have Experience shipping a console title using Unreal Engine. Understanding of machine learning–based rendering fundamentals. Experience working on visually ambitious game projects. Familiarity with memory management and platform-specific optimizations. Experience collaborating with GPU or platform partners. Estimated pay range for this position: $168 200 - $257 000 USD annually This role may also be eligible for discretionary stock options.
