• Build, customize, and maintain professional business websites. • Develop responsive websites optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. • Work with WordPress and modern website development platforms. • Implement website functionality including contact forms, lead capture systems, calls-to-action, and integrations. • Optimize website speed, performance, and user experience. • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues promptly. • Manage and maintain AWS hosting environments, particularly AWS Lightsail. • Configure and maintain DNS records, Route 53, SSL certificates, backups, and snapshots. • Monitor website uptime and server performance. • Support Linux-based hosting environments, Apache, Nginx, and database management. • Implement website and server security best practices. • Prevent and resolve malware infections and hacking attempts. • Manage backups, disaster recovery processes, and security hardening.
Job Requirements
- Strong experience building and managing professional websites.
- Advanced experience with WordPress.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
- Understanding of Laravel and modern PHP development frameworks.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and UX best practices.
- Experience optimizing website speed and performance.
- Experience managing AWS LightSail, Ubuntu Linux servers, WordPress migrations, manual WordPress installations, SSL certificates, backups, and server hardening.
- Experience transitioning websites from BitNami-based environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of DNS management, SSL certificates, backups, and server security.
- Familiarity with Linux servers, Apache, Nginx, and database management.
- Ubuntu Linux administration and SSH access.
- Experience with website security, malware prevention, and disaster recovery.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
