• Provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations for counselors who are absent • Provide personal financial counseling and management services to military service members and their families • Assist service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences • Develop and distribute informational financial materials to service members and families • Coordinate and provide various Personal Financial Management classes/workshops • Respond to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars • Utilize virtual counseling and electronic communication modes effectively • Manage duty to warn situations according to DoD protocol • Communicate with leadership and participate in regular supervision and quality improvement activities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- May consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree
- May consider applicants with a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English
- If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish
- Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
- Must be able to pass the Congressionally Mandated Disclosures for Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI) process
- Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)

Responsibilities: Product Formulation & Review: - Evaluate and approve recipes to ensure they are nutritionally balanced, safe, and effective. - Ensure all products align with Open Farm’s recipe standards and ingredient quality requirements. - Provide guidance on pet food formulation for dry, wet, treats, and canned products. - Maintain proper documentation and records for nutritional adequacy, feeding guidelines, and label compliance. Customer & Internal Support: - Assist with elevated pet parent inquiries requiring veterinary expertise. - Collaborate with our Pet Parent Experience (PPX) team to ensure product recommendations are informed by veterinary expertise - Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to educate consumers on pet nutrition. - Support advertising and promotional claims with sound nutritional evidence. Role Description We are currently in search of an experienced IOP Addiction Counselor for our Frederick, MD location. The Addiction Counselor position at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all of its subsidiaries ("Kolmac" or the "Company") is held by someone who is innovative and committed to learning and developing their counseling skill, working and collaborating with an innovative, inter-disciplinary team. This position requires someone who is invested in patient care and brings a solution-focused attitude and outlook. - Part-Time Monday - Friday 3:30pm - 9:00pm with remote option in the state of Maryland - Develops a treatment alliance with patients that is mutual, collaborative, and individualized, meeting changing clinical needs throughout treatment - Facilitates addiction treatment groups in the IOP levels of care - Prepares and presents addiction/recovery education presentations to all patients - Engages in case management sessions, including assessments, collaborative treatment goals, discharge planning, partnership with referral sources and/or other providers - Promotes the organization's image in a positive and professional manner - Is expected to provide direct care up to 55% of weekly work hours depending on program and position - Works with treatment team to meet the co-occurring psychiatric needs of patients - Coordinates care for all appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members, and other support providers - Responsible for maintaining timely and well written documentation that meets state and CARF standards - Demonstrates commitment to excellent patient care, which is measured through clinical outcomes, such as patient retention, attendance, successful program completion, transitioning from IOP to OP, treatment goal attainment, etc. - Responsible for obtaining signatures from licensed therapist/supervisor for documents requiring a second signature when applicable - Provide evaluations for substance use disorders using DSM-V and ASAM level of care criteria - Carries the on call phone for one week, several times through the year – supporting the needs of any patients in crisis outside of our business hours when applicable - Has experience with Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma informed care approaches - Embodies the spirit of a teacher, continually demonstrating positive energy that promotes addiction recovery education and learning, both in and out of group/individual sessions - Attends and is prepared for professional meetings, including treatment team - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Strong clinical, verbal, and writing skills - Is engaging with patients, while promoting and maintaining accountability - Flexible and creative team player - Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a program that will grow and expand over the next several years - Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in the SUD field.
