Role Description Join us as a Production Analyst in Everyday Banking. This is an opportunity to play a key role in responding to incidents, diagnosing complex issues, and driving rapid recovery to ensure service continuity across core debit card processes. We’ll look to you to deliver a complex and critical production management within the Everyday Banking Debit Cards team, supporting critical debit card processing services that operate at scale and directly impact customers. Hone your existing analytical skills and advance your career in this exciting, fast-paced role. As a Production Analyst, you’ll: - Work across a hybrid estate combining core mainframe technologies such as CICS, COBOL, DB2, and JCL with modern Java microservices running on Pivotal Cloud Foundry, CICS Liberty, and Kafka. - Participate in an on-call support rota, providing the opportunity to support live services and respond to priority incidents outside standard business hours. - Work closely with platform and domain stakeholders to ensure the robustness and resilience of the platform. - Collaborate with product development and feature teams to understand upcoming products, enabling continuous integration and continuous deployment. - Regularly attend feature teams’ refinement and planning sessions. - Identify areas for service improvement by analyzing and diagnosing recurring platform and service incidents, as well as customer and stakeholder feedback. - Build a culture of continuous improvement to reinforce the robustness of the domain, focusing on automation, scalability, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Qualifications - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to maintain a calm and structured approach during incidents. - Confidence working across complex systems. - Willingness to learn and adapt in new or unfamiliar areas. - Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with multiple teams under pressure. - Genuine desire to learn, improve, and contribute to reliable services. - Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment with continuous delivery and continuous integration. - Knowledge and experience of industry standard toolsets and processes. - Knowledge and experience of using operational principles. - Very capable communicator with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. - Good collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
