Role Description The Staff Software Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for all stages of the software development lifecycle using a variety of technologies and tools to build impactful software solutions. The scope of this job includes building and optimizing comprehensive solutions that prioritize end-user efficiency and experience. About the Team: - Own the cloud foundation that the rest of engineering builds on. - Run and manage multi-cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure. - Operate the platform services development teams depend on every day — ArgoCD, Spacelift, GitHub, and the Kubernetes infrastructure underneath them. - Wear many hats: systems management, helping product teams ship and operate their Kubernetes workloads, and building custom tooling. - Be the team others rely on when it matters most. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and architecture of major systems and services, ensuring software solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business needs. - Collaborate with solution managers, engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize technical requirements that meet client needs and business objectives. - Ensure sustained quality and reliability of software solutions, acting as a go-to expert by identifying and resolving complex, high-priority issues in both development and production environments. - Actively contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback on design and implementation, and provide technical guidance to other engineers. - Ensure code meets functional and performance requirements, advocate for high-quality software, and ensure rigorous testing processes. - Leverage AI tools and platforms to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and drive data-informed outcomes. - Operate multi-cloud environments across GCP, AWS, and Azure — provisioning, hardening, cost management, and day-to-day systems management. - Manage the platform services dev teams rely on — keeping them reliable, secure, and easy to use. - Partner with development teams on Kubernetes — help them design, deploy, and operate clusters and workloads. - Build custom tooling — automate the toil and create internal tools that keep the team and customers efficient. - Set technical direction — define standards and architecture for cloud infrastructure. - Mentor and multiply — share knowledge, review designs, and grow the capabilities of teammates and dev teams. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. - 8-12 years related work experience. Requirements - Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed. - Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information. - Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time. Benefits - Excellent medical with Rx, dental, and vision benefits. - Mental Health support through EAP. - Generous paid time off, plus 13 paid holidays. - 100% vested 401(K) retirement plans. - Educational assistance up to $2500 per year.
