VP, Pricing, Trade & Value Communications

• Build and execute an integrated market access strategy for pre-commercial biotech environment • Define and operationalize capabilities across pricing, contracting, trade distribution, and value communications • Lead the development of U.S. pricing strategy, scenario modeling, and lifecycle management • Design and execute payer contracting strategies across Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid channels • Lead planning for payer contract negotiations and develop contracting frameworks • Develop pre and post deal analytics to support effective contract processes • Build foundational gross-to-net forecasting capabilities and pricing governance processes • Partner with Finance to ensure alignment with enterprise financial objectives • Lead MFN and IRA readiness planning, including scenario analysis and strategic response • Develop and manage government pricing calculations and ensure compliance • Design and establish the company’s trade and distribution model • Ensure product availability, channel efficiency, and alignment with patient access goals • Develop and lead a compelling, evidence-based value narrative to support payer access • Equip field access teams with tools and resources to communicate product value • Build and lead a high-performing team across pricing, trade, and value communications • Drive strong cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments • Monitor federal and state legislative developments related to drug pricing reform and develop mitigation strategies for access risks

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD) strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Market Access, including pricing, contracting, trade, payor strategy, or related functions within a biotech or pharmaceutical industry, including 5 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated success in launching new products within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience building capabilities in a pre-commercial or high-growth organization strongly preferred
  • Experience leading teams in the design and execution of outcomes-based or value-based contracting arrangements preferred
  • Deep understanding of U.S. payer market landscape, pricing frameworks, and trade operations
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating complex payer contracts and securing favorable access for patients and reimbursement
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization, in particular, senior levels
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen
  • Proven executive presence, communication and cross functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with IRA implementation and government pricing compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead specialized teams across pricing, trade, and value communications functions within a pre-commercial or high-growth biotech
  • Deep understanding of specialty pharmacy, distributor, and wholesaler channel dynamics, with experience leading trade operations teams responsible for channel management and 3PL oversight
  • Ability to partner effectively with Medical Affairs and HEOR teams to shape evidence generation strategies and translate clinical and economic data into compelling payer value narratives
  • Working knowledge of federal and state pricing regulations sufficient to provide strategic oversight of compliance obligations related to Medicaid, Medicare, and government pricing reporting
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; adaptable, diplomatic, and able to navigate ambiguity.
