Role Description The Testing Evaluator position is a remote, on demand, part-time position. The Testing Evaluator assists with testing for language proficiency examinations, interacting with the examinee in the evaluator's native language. Support for proficiency tests may be provided via telephone, video conferencing, or another technology-based medium (recorded audio etc.), depending on the needs of the test. The tests will be evaluated according to given scoring criteria; therefore, paid training is conducted before starting the job. Testing evaluators must be able to accept and use the required scoring procedure and maintain consistent and reliable scoring throughout their employment. They must also be willing to operate in a repetitive task situation and maintain confidentiality. Responsibilities - Perform the test in a professional manner - Follow the process to perform the tasks - Adhere to the guidelines to score the tests - Enter the data on the testing platform in a timely manner - Provide comments and concerns to the testing department - Perform pilot tests - Create and review test items - Perform other similar duties requested by the Operations and Development Testing department Qualifications - Strong oral and written communication skills in the target language (target language appears in job title) - Excellent interpersonal skills - Accuracy and attention to detail - Technical communication - Professionalism - Organization - Must have email access with the capability to send and receive attached files, and must be able to navigate the Internet - Computer literacy Requirements - Language: Candidates must possess native fluency in the target language (target language appears in job title) - Degree: College Degree - Computer Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Language: A minimum English proficiency level of a 2+/2+ on the ILR proficiency scale - Experience: Any combination of training and experience which provides required knowledge, skills and ability to perform the duties of the position Benefits - Part-time employees are not eligible for ALTA-sponsored benefits Location Remote Additional Information All Testing Evaluators must be based in the U.S. Unfortunately, we are not able to hire in all 50 US States. Role Description TerraPower is seeking to hire highly motivated and forward-thinking professionals who are interested in focusing on advanced nuclear reactor research and development and influencing change within the nuclear power landscape and bringing forward the critical production of medical isotopes. The Supplier Quality Representative reports to the Senior Manager, Supplier Quality (QA & CI). The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with or managing suppliers in manufacturing/fabrication environments, with a thorough understanding of: - Surveillance - Supplier quality - Process qualifications - Welding - Inspections - QC data package reviews This role is responsible for ensuring supplier compliance with nuclear quality requirements across the procurement and fabrication lifecycle, including oversight of critical and first-of-a-kind components. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline, business, management, or quality assurance field. - 10+ years’ experience in a nuclear (NRC, DOE) Supplier Quality function. - QA experience in NRC 10 CFR 50, Appendix B regulated environment. - Working knowledge of NQA-1 requirements and a strong background in auditing, with current Lead Auditor certification preferred or with the ability to become a Lead Auditor. - Experience with industry codes, standards and guides such as ASME, ASNT, AWS, AISC, ASTM, EPRI, NEI, ISO, NEC and IEEE are strongly desired. - Willingness to travel. Requirements - Implement supplier surveillance and oversight material acceptance plans for complex and first of a kind procurement to ensure compliance with quality and technical standards. - Prepare and issue clear and concise Supplier Quality surveillance reports to capture fabrication activities. - Participate in resolution of technical and quality issues arising from area/shop Supplier Quality activities including monitoring of dispositions and corrections made to assure documented evidence of satisfactory closeout. - Perform general assessment and critique of nuclear quality programs and assessments. - Partner with Supply Chain management to resolve technical and quality deficiencies with Suppliers quality oversight of critical procurements to meet project milestones and schedules. - Ensure personal, industrial, and nuclear safety is a core aspect of daily work. - Promote and reinforce a strong nuclear safety culture internally and externally by ensuring supplier adherence to quality, safety, and human performance tools expectations. - Perform material acceptance activities with specific shop visits such as initial visits, in-process surveillances performing Supplier Quality Specialist witness and hold points, or inspection activities at the shop.
