Title: Adjunct Faculty, Occupational Therapy Location: South University Orlando, FL, 5900 Lake Ellenor Drive, Orlando, Florida, United States of America Job Description: SUMMARY: Adjunct hybrid faculty are temporary employees, teaching one or two courses per term. Adjunct hybrid faculty are not eligible for promotion. The adjunct hybrid faculty member facilitates meaningful learning of the course competencies in the hybrid curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment at all locations. Faculty provides education through a hybrid delivery model that combines on-ground and online learning enabling graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. The faculty member encourages a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics as well as personal and professional development. KEY JOB ELEMENTS: - Perform Faculty responsibilities as outlined in the faculty job description and the Faculty Supplement to the South University Employee Handbook. - Provides competency-based education which aligns with the South University model of curricula as well as supports hybrid delivery methods. - Designs class instruction by developing student learning outcomes and instructional plans to meet course competencies and accreditation standards, creating activities which support learning outcomes and promote critical thinking. - Delivers learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment across online and on-ground settings conducive to learning and encouraging student involvement; faculty effectively plans and prepares for classes and student success. - Promotes student success by showing flexibility in teaching style as well as exhibiting a passion for teaching and facilitating student interaction while engaging students in the learning process. - Evaluates the degree to which students meet performance criteria established in the course syllabi and grading rubrics. - Oversees a teaching/lab assistant, as appropriate to course(s) at all instructional locations; orients to roles and responsibilities in the course or lab including review of syllabus, identifying materials/equipment needed in lab setups, review of safety procedures and course/lab concepts. - Assists faculty in labs, as appropriate; responsible for setting up lab with appropriate equipment and supplies, observing safety procedures, facilitates student activities and responds to questions, reinforces course concepts, facilitates student ability to think critically about course material, helps students apply concepts to practice and assists in cleanup of lab. - Attends faculty meetings, as needed and able. - Maintains standards of the profession, including rules and regulations of licensing and certification. - Pursues professional development related to professional practice and the practice of education; participates in faculty development activities each year, as required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - For OTRs: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy and a Master's degree or doctoral degree in another field awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, required; Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with teaching experience or a Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, preferred. - For COTAs: Minimum of Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency is required; an Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and a bachelor’s degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, preferred. - Zero to two years of experience in instruction or a formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. • Provides clinical training and support to customers, as a subject matter expert in treatment delivery and electronic. • Assists in managing the customer's clinical expectations. • Provides competitive product performance information to headquarters, marketing or engineering groups. • May coordinate or lead customer and/or employee training courses. • Conducts large group presentations at seminars, training programs, and trade shows. • Provides demo support to local, regional and national customer trade events. • Works with cross-functional teams as necessary to support and enable best services and optimize customer relations. • Creates and maintains formal customer training support documents. • Designs and oversees the initial and ongoing training for Clinical Applications Specialists, as well as, continued training for new product releases.

• Responsible for managing mid-sized to large regional and national providers in the Infusion Therapy markets • Lead strategic growth across our western region • Close new business, Account penetration with current customers and manage existing customers • Achieve sales, gross profit, gross margin, AR, freight expense and operating expense objectives by managing existing customer portfolio and closing new customers • Work with Sales Vice Presidents, Area Sales Managers, and the entire field sales organization to manage existing customers and implement new customers • Responsible for working cross-functionally with various teams to effectively deliver the McKesson value proposition while maintaining profitability and corporate compliance • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide feedback regarding customer value prop, competitive landscape, etc • Attend and assist with attendance at national trade shows as needed

Role Description This role is 100% remote. It is required to hold a state license in IN (or be open to obtaining that license). SLPs have the flexibility to design a schedule that fits their needs; however, all schedules must include availability after 3:30 p.m. on weekdays and/or on weekends. A minimum of 7 hours of total availability per week is required.
