Job Description
Senior AI Product Manager, Fashion Discovery
Lyst
Title: Senior AI Product Manager, Fashion Discovery Location: London England GB Hybrid Product Full time Job Description: Lyst is a global fashion shopping platform founded in London in 2010, catering to over 160M shoppers per year. We curate pieces from 27,000 of the world's leading brands and stores. In 2025, Lyst joined forces with Zozo, operators of Zozotown (Japan’s leading fashion e-commerce platform). This partnership marks a bold new era for Lyst as we accelerate our ambition to redefine the future of fashion shopping through AI, personalisation, and cutting-edge technology. Lyst is building the world’s most compelling fashion discovery experience. The Discovery team sits inside our Transforming the Customer Experience product group and is at the centre of how people find, explore and fall in love with fashion on Lyst. This is the team leading our work on AI Search, natural language refinement, ranking, personalisation and the next generation of fashion-aware shopping journeys. Search in fashion is changing fast. People no longer just type “black dress”. They search with mood, context, occasion, taste and intent: “something minimal for a summer wedding”, “trainers like these but less obvious”, “quiet luxury work bags under £500”. Our job is to make Lyst understand what they mean – and help them discover products they could not have found anywhere else. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and build that future. Discovery is one of the most important product bets at Lyst. The market is moving from keyword search to conversational, personalised and AI-assisted shopping. Our product already frames AI Search as a central part of that shift, with live experimentation around natural, expressive search and LLM-led intent interpretation. The wider market is moving the same way, with memory-aware, follow-up-led product discovery becoming a standard interaction model across AI shopping surfaces. This role is a chance to build what fashion discovery should become next: more visual, more personal, more expressive and much more intelligent than a grid of products behind a search box. And you get to drive that change. Responsibilities: You’ll lead the Discovery roadmap, from AI Search and refinement through to personalisation, ranking and new discovery surfaces. You’ll decide how Lyst should understand fashion intent: the language users use, the signals they give us, the products they engage with, and the moments where they need inspiration rather than a literal search result. You’ll partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Analytics and Research to turn ambiguous customer problems into sharp product bets, high-quality experiments and scalable product experiences. You’ll shape how AI shows up in the product – not as a novelty, but as a materially better way to search, refine, browse and discover fashion. You’ll use data and research to understand whether we are genuinely improving discovery: better search success, stronger engagement, more high-intent actions, more repeat usage and ultimately more orders. What you'll work on: The roadmap is evolving, but likely areas include: - AI Search and natural language refinement. - Search personalisation and fashion-aware ranking. - Multimodal discovery, including image-led search and visual drill-downs. - Inspirational query responses and richer discovery journeys. - Reducing dead ends in search, including zero-results journeys, poor relevance and overly literal matching. - Using Lyst’s fashion data to make discovery feel more intelligent, more personal and more culturally aware. Requirements - You’re a Senior Product Manager who has worked on complex consumer product experiences – ideally search, discovery, recommendations, personalisation, marketplaces, e-commerce, AI products and/or mobile apps. - You’re highly customer-led, but not vague about it. You know how to combine user research, behavioural data, experiment results and product judgement to make strong calls. - You’re comfortable with technical ambiguity. You can work with engineers and data scientists on AI, ranking, search quality and relevance without needing to be the technical expert yourself. - You have excellent product taste. You care about making discovery feel magical, not just functional. - You can simplify complexity. Fashion discovery has messy data, subjective intent, commercial constraints and edge cases everywhere. You can turn that into a roadmap people understand and believe in. - You’re commercially sharp. You know that great discovery should inspire users, but also move meaningful business metrics. - You’re excited by fashion, culture and how people shop – not just by the mechanics of search. Benefits - - Our Ways of Working: We all come into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely or come into the office on the other days. We believe that in person collaboration and community spirit is super important, which is why we spend some of our time in the office and some of our time at home. - Time Off: In addition to the 8 statutory bank holidays, you will receive 29 holidays per year. Lyst’s holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March. - Competitive Family Leave Package: This includes Enhanced Family Leave for those eligible, paid Time off for Dependents and Support for Fertility Treatment & Loss. - Clothing Benefit: We want you to enjoy using the Lyst app and site as much as our customers, so we provide you with a clothing allowance to use on Lyst every year. This starts at £250 when you join and increases up to £1,000 with your length of service. - Private Healthcare: Our healthcare provider is Vitality. Your health is important to us which is why we offer all employees a comprehensive healthcare scheme from the day you start. - Training Allowance: We’re big on continuous learning and growth, so all employees are currently entitled to an annual training allowance of £1,000. This can be used to attend conferences, industry events, training courses and to purchase resources. - Pension Scheme: Our pension provider is The People’s Pension. We offer a minimum employee contribution of 5% and 3% employer contribution. - Eye Tests and Vouchers: Employees can make a saving on their eye test and glasses through our chosen provider. You’ll receive a free eye test every year and a discount towards glasses. - Cycle-to-Work Scheme: Lyst will purchase a bicycle from your chosen retailer, you will then receive a voucher to pick up your bicycle from them. - Transport Season Ticket Loan: Employees can apply for an interest free season ticket loan to support your travel to work. - Social Events: Frequent company wide social events including Christmas & summer parties, sports days, themed drinks, quizzes, cook alongs, as well as smaller team socials. We also have plenty of interest based groups such as football, running club, book club, culinary and more. - Our Ways of Working: We all come into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely or come into the office on the other days. We believe that in person collaboration and community spirit is super important, which is why we spend some of our time in the office and some of our time at home. We want to build a world where fashion works for everyone, and we want teams that are just as inclusive. Diversity and inclusion is an integral part of our culture at Lyst. We recognise and celebrate the value and impact diversity brings to our company and are committed to ensuring this is a consistent focus, for which we are held to account. We are committed to treating all applicants fairly and equally, and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply for this role. We are happy to talk about flexible working arrangements. Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. At Lyst we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
