Continuous Improvement Manager

• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and other structured problem-solving methodologies to eliminate waste, and drive measurable cost savings. • Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across processing plants and transfer stations. • Teach, lead, and develop capabilities within cross-functional teams on loss elimination tools and methodology. • Influence and engage individuals at all organizational levels — from frontline team members to senior leaders — to participate in ideation, active problem-solving, prioritization, solution development, testing, and full-scale deployment. • Coach and train site teams on Lean principles, structured problem-solving, and root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., PDCA, DMAIC, AMD, Loss Analysis, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone). • Develop internal CI champions and sustainment mechanisms to ensure long-term success of initiatives. • Support process design improvements, automation projects, and infrastructure optimization initiatives that reduce costs and increase throughput. • Partner with regional and site leadership to drive initiatives that lower operational expenses through improved process efficiency, waste minimization, and resource optimization. • Reinforce data-driven decision-making and evidence-based validation as standard practice for solution development and deployment. • Develop and standardize best practices that improve reliability, reduce variability, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). • Work with regional operations leadership to prioritize and execute improvement initiatives that align with regional and national objectives. • Collaborate with local and national Maintenance and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and enhance asset utilization. • Travel approximately 50% of the time to different business units.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, or operational excellence roles in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Proven experience applying structured problem-solving approaches such as PDCA, DMAIC, DFSS, or 8D within a manufacturing or distribution setting
  • Demonstrated success in implementing structured loss elimination projects that delivered measurable cost savings
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to lead change across multi-site or regional operations
  • Comfortable with hands-on work in plant and transfer station environments
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams on process optimization projects

Role Description The Manager, Transformation Analysis evaluates business and technology transformation opportunities, builds the business case for each initiative, and tracks outcomes after deployment. The role spans AI adoption, process automation, and tooling improvements, applying the same value-vs.-feasibility lens across the board. Duties and Responsibilities - Facilitate cross-functional discovery workshops to surface transformation opportunities across AI, automation, and tooling, and score them using the value-vs.-feasibility framework. - Build the ROI model and business case for each prioritized initiative, defining baseline KPIs, target outcomes, and the measurement window with the relevant business owner. - Manage the initiative intake and scoring queue in partnership with the Program Manager, ensuring all submissions are evaluated before reaching the Transformation Lead for prioritization. - Gate initiative activation by confirming technical readiness sign-off from the relevant team (Data & Analytics for AI, IT for automation or tooling) before any initiative moves to build. - Map current-state workflows and define the future state for each initiative before IT scopes the build, ensuring process documentation is complete prior to activation. - Partner with business owners to define initiative scope, validate assumptions, and confirm adoption accountability before activation. - Track post-deployment results against baseline, reporting regularly on progress to the Transformation Lead and Executive Leadership Team. - Partner with People Operations on change enablement for transformation initiatives, including stakeholder analysis, communication planning, and adoption measurement. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a transformation or strategy function. - Demonstrated ability to build ROI models and measure outcomes across AI, automation, and tooling initiatives. Lean Six Sigma certification a plus. - Familiarity with transformation solution types including AI/ML applications, RPA, workflow automation, and enterprise tooling. Must be able to evaluate feasibility and engage productively with technical teams without being a practitioner. - Strong facilitation skills with the credibility to surface opportunities, challenge assumptions, and drive decisions at the executive level. - Experience in telecom, broadband, utilities, or a similarly operationally complex industry preferred. - Proficiency with LLMs (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT), process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart), Microsoft Office Suite, and project management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet). Comfort interpreting BI tool output (e.g., Power BI). - Strong analytical and communication skills; able to build business cases and present findings clearly to executive audiences. - Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
