• Develop, design and optimize optical thin film coating designs to meet customer specifications • Create detailed manufacturing plans for new product opportunities • Provide process engineering support, guidance and instruction to support manufacturing • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. • Collaborate with Sales, Production, QA, EHS and R&D teams to integrate innovative solutions and ensure alignment on process improvements. • Mentor and train technicians and operators on optimized processes and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team. • Establish & monitor integrated project schedule to include all phases of development. • Designing, implementing, and optimizing direct sparse solvers for existing and future GPU architectures • Working with library engineers, QA engineers, and interns on all library development aspects from design to implementation and test to release and support • Working closely with product management and other internal and external partners to understand feature and performance requirements and contribute to the technical roadmaps of libraries • Finding and realizing opportunities to improve library quality, performance, and maintainability for sparse linear algebra libraries through re-architecting and establishing innovative software development practices

What You'll Be Doing - Plays a key role in consistently advising the team on pragmatic technical approaches to problems that encourage engineering excellence and developer happiness. - Can structure coherent and iterative actionable plans toward delivering effective solutions across the planning surface. - Plans ahead by strategically architecting scalable web APIs, component libraries and backend systems that serve the team roadmap goals. - Collaborate with stakeholders from Data Science, Product & Design and other senior engineers across the organization to identify and solve technical challenges that drive impact across teams. - Advise teams on technical debt consolidation in ways that efficiently service our business needs. - Mentor the team and lead by example to uphold software development best practices in addition to conducting rigorous code and tech spec reviews. - Identify bottlenecks and general system-wide performance issues and offer actionable solutions to address them. - Be a significant individual contributor and a key asset in delivering critical projects that ultimately bring value to our customers. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience building highly performant web applications with outstanding UX. - Knowledge of our full-stack technologies is highly preferred - React, Typescript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails and Go. - Extensive experience working with a test driven approach to writing code with one or more of our core full-stack (or comparable) technologies. - Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences. - Experience working with relational databases and key-value stores. - Experience analyzing, benchmarking and optimizing web application performance across the entire stack. - Experience leading large scale modernization efforts to revamp legacy systems from start to finish. - An appetite for unpacking complexity and simplifying it wherever possible. • Support the U.S. satellite functional verification and validation activity. • Map technical requirements to verification and validation strategies that ensure product quality. • Develop test plans and test procedures, and execute and report the test results. • Review the satellite functional specification and develop the test plan to verify and validate the requirements. • Design and build automated testing systems, tooling and/or ground support equipment (GSE) to optimize production and test workflow. • Execute and validate test documentation and equipment, then train others to run validated procedures/equipment. • Troubleshoot issues with hardware and/or equipment, collect and analyze test data, and write/review test reports, flags/non-conformances and other documentation. • Support system architecture trade studies and requirements development to meet mission needs. • Revise the satellite functional specification for new mission and customer needs. • Generate system architecture data products, including spacecraft CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, and interface documents.
