Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented On Call Scheduler to manage and coordinate caregiver staffing for our home health nursing clients. This is a fully remote position. The On Call Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring seamless operational coverage by managing and coordinating on-call schedules for various patients within the organization. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to balance staffing needs with employee availability, ensuring that all shifts are adequately covered without conflicts. The On Call Scheduler acts as a central point of communication, promptly addressing scheduling changes, emergencies, and last-minute requests to maintain continuous service delivery. By proactively managing schedules and anticipating potential gaps, this role supports overall team efficiency and responsiveness. Ultimately, the On Call Scheduler contributes to maintaining high levels of operational readiness and employee satisfaction through effective schedule management. Qualifications - 1+ year of healthcare scheduling experience, with home health preferred - High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred - Proven experience in scheduling, workforce management, or a related administrative role - Ability to manage high-volume workloads and prioritize multiple schedules simultaneously - Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams - Computer proficiency with scheduling software and Google Workspace - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends - Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality - Demonstrated sense of urgency, reliability, and accountability - Experience working in fast-paced environments such as healthcare, IT, or customer service - Familiarity with labor laws and regulations related to employee scheduling and on-call requirements - Ability to analyze staffing needs and forecast scheduling demands - Conflict resolution skills for handling scheduling disputes diplomatically - Prior experience coordinating on-call schedules efficiently Requirements - Develop, maintain, and update on-call schedules for multiple departments, ensuring full coverage at all times. - Field high volume of incoming calls to promptly fill open shifts. Make outgoing calls as needed to confirm staffing. - Report critical issues or changes to client care plans to management. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling records in the HR system. - Communicate schedule assignments and changes clearly and promptly to all relevant personnel. - Monitor on-call coverage and respond quickly to unexpected absences or emergencies by adjusting schedules as needed. - Maintain accurate records of on-call assignments and provide regular reports to management. - Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline the scheduling process and improve accuracy. - Collaborate with HR and management to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies related to scheduling. Benefits - Pay: $32-$35 per hour - Shift bonus: $50.00 /shift whether you clock in or not.
