Role Description This course provides an introduction to clinical group work. The history and evolution of social group work is reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the application of basic knowledge and skills to clinical group work. This includes consideration of: - Stages of group development - Other group dynamics - Therapeutic factors in groups - Generic group work skills An introduction to the application of various clinical theories to group work is also provided.
