I'm looking for an experienced and passionate product designer to work directly with me. We build a product-led, web-based SaaS application for youth sports organizations (websites, online registration, payments, communication, scheduling, and more). What you’ll do: - Take short product briefs and turn them into end-to-end designs: user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma - Define interaction behavior and edge cases (loading/empty/error states, validations, permissions, responsive behavior) - Produce developer-ready specs and support engineering through implementation (fast clarifications, iteration) - Build on our existing Figma library and UI patterns; you’ll also have access to a part-time UI designer for periodic polish/review - Recommend analytics instrumentation (PostHog events/properties) and success metrics for new features - Collaborate with the team to improve onboarding, core workflows, and overall product quality If you have any questions about the role, please send an email to nick @ jerseywatch com

• Support web and mobile products by designing clearly defined parts of user journeys across multiple platforms, working closely with the team lead to ensure consistency and quality • Create UX solutions aligned with iOS and Android guidelines, applying platform-specific patterns and constraints while maintaining a cohesive experience • Use AI tools to rapidly prototype ideas, explore interaction patterns, and support early-stage concept validation • Draft and refine UX writing and microcopy (German & English), and prepare research documentation including IDIs, usability test reports, structured insights, and clear links between findings and product decisions • Work closely with UI designers, developers, QA, product managers, and researchers in a flat team structure; actively participate in reviews and translate user feedback into improved experiences • Maintain clean, structured Figma files, use components correctly, and prepare clear, developer-friendly specifications based on the Design System

• Define and execute a cohesive design vision and strategy across consumer and operator products. • Champion a user-centered design culture, grounded in research, accessibility, and data-driven decisions. • Build and evolve multi-platform design systems (kiosk, mobile, web, operator tools). • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product designers and UX researchers. • Create process frameworks for ideation, rapid prototyping, usability testing, and cross-functional collaboration. • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Hardware, and Marketing. • Own design quality and consistency across all consumer touchpoints. • Oversee concept development, wireframes, interaction design, visual design, and usability testing. • Translate complex hardware-software user journeys into elegant, intuitive workflows. • Work closely with product leadership on roadmap prioritization and long-term experience vision. • Partner with enterprise clients on co-branded UX strategies and white-label engagements. • Advocate for design resources, tooling, and investment that support scale and innovation.
