Role Description We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Integration Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise integration solutions on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. In this role you will own the integration lifecycle, including: - API design - Flow development - Deployment - Observability - Ongoing optimization The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-on MuleSoft experience with strong API-led connectivity practices, and will partner with enterprise architects, application teams, and integration partners to deliver reliable, secure, and reusable integration assets. You will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions. You will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Five or more years of integration experience with strong focus on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. - Strong hands-on experience with Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, and Mule runtime. - Solid understanding of API-led connectivity and RAML/OAS API design. - Hands-on experience with CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or Hybrid deployment. - Experience with API security standards (OAuth2, mTLS, JWT) and Anypoint API Manager. - Working knowledge of CI/CD for MuleSoft. - Familiarity with event-driven integration using Anypoint MQ or Kafka. - Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills. - Experience integrating with major SaaS platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow). Requirements - Design and develop integration flows in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, including DataWeave transformations, error handling, and reusable connectors. - Apply API-led connectivity (System, Process, Experience APIs) to deliver reusable, composable integration assets. - Design and publish well-documented APIs using API Designer and the Anypoint Exchange. - Configure and manage runtimes (CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, Hybrid) appropriate to workload requirements. - Implement strong API security using OAuth2, mTLS, JWT, and Anypoint API Manager policies. - Build event-driven integrations using Anypoint MQ, Salesforce Platform Events, or Kafka. - Optimize integration performance, including pooling, caching, parallel processing, and message size management. - Build CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft applications using Maven, Anypoint CLI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. - Migrate legacy integrations from other middleware (Oracle SOA, BizTalk) to MuleSoft. - Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using Anypoint Monitoring and external observability tools. - Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures. - Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal integration patterns and standards. - Collaborate closely with security, enterprise architecture, and application development teams. • Run data migrations from customer legacy systems (e.g. IBM DOORS, Polarion, internal databases) into Certivity, including schema mapping, validation, and post-migration reconciliation. • Build and maintain API connectors between Certivity and customer services. • Work directly (usually remotely) with customer IT, engineering, and regulatory teams to scope, plan, and execute integrations. • Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow to move efficiently across our Python and Java codebases. • Own each customer technical integration end-to-end, from kickoff to handover.

• Establish and drive adoption of enterprise architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices across business units and initiatives • Partner with business stakeholders to translate features and requirements into end-to-end architectural solutions, including business process models and system designs • Lead architecture initiatives supporting claims and payment processing systems, including development of an enterprise Claim Cache strategy • Design and deliver scalable, event-driven architectures leveraging APIs, microservices, and cloud-native technologies • Develop system impact models and integration strategies across large-scale ecosystems (50+ applications, 250+ integrations) • Create detailed solution architectures, including NFRs (scalability, resiliency, failover, observability, and performance) • Drive mainframe modernization initiatives, enabling migration to cloud and microservices-based platforms with minimal business disruption • Identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud services, and low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate solution delivery • Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, copilots) and cloud platforms to build POCs, prototypes, and user experience concepts • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Engineering, QA, Infrastructure, and Product) to ensure alignment from design through execution • Evaluate solution options and develop technology roadmaps balancing legacy systems with modernization goals • Develop cost models and ROI-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing guidance on enterprise integration strategies and future-state architecture vision
