Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Front-End Leaning

Cohere

• Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform • Develop autonomous agents that talk to sensitive enterprise data • Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments, and has highly stringent deployment mechanisms • As security and privacy are paramount, you will sometimes need to re-invent the wheel, and won’t be able to use the most popular libraries or tooling • Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques

Job Requirements

  • Have shipped (lots of) fullstack code (Python and React) in production
  • You excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives are a moving target
  • You have strong coding abilities and are comfortable working across the stack.
  • You have built and deployed extremely performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications to millions of users.
  • You think like a product owner, not just an engineer — you ask "should we build this?" before "how do we build this?"
  • You have strong opinions on what makes a great user experience and aren't afraid to push back on designs or specs that don't serve the user
  • You've owned features end-to-end: from understanding the user problem, to shipping, to measuring impact
  • Bonus: You love art and have an eye for design and a creative mindset - A plus, if you have a portfolio, GitHub or other showcases of your projects.

Benefits

  • An open and inclusive culture and work environment
  • Work closely with a team on the cutting edge of AI research
  • A weekly lunch stipend of $75/£75 or equivalent in your local currency for lunch.

  • Annual enrichment benefits:
  • Arts & culture, fitness/wellness, quality time, and a workspace improvement credit.
  • Education & learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
  • Remote-flexible, offices in Toronto, New York, San Francisco, London and Paris, as well as a co-working stipend
  • 6 weeks of paid vacation (30 working days!)
  • Budget for traveling to other offices if you are remote, plus an annual company offsite.
