Role Description CADRE is seeking a Manual Tester to support cross-functional delivery teams responsible for validating software quality across federal IT modernization initiatives. This role focuses on executing manual testing processes to ensure applications meet functional requirements, usability standards, and quality expectations in regulated environments. - Review requirements, user stories, and design documentation to understand expected system behavior. - Develop and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. - Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools. - Validate defect fixes and ensure issues are resolved prior to release. - Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. - Ensure applications meet usability and business requirements. - Maintain clear documentation of testing activities, results, and defects. - Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or software testing. - Understanding of software testing methodologies and lifecycle (SDLC/STLC). - Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans. - Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Requirements - Experience supporting federal government contracts or regulated environments. - Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence. - Basic understanding of APIs and backend systems. - Exposure to test automation concepts or tools. - Experience with usability or accessibility testing.
