Role Description The Director, Vendor Management is responsible for establishing and leading the vendor and third-party management function across the organization, with a primary focus on supporting a modern residential mortgage servicing technology and operations environment. This role serves as the central coordination point for vendor engagement, contract administration, third-party governance, and commercial oversight across technology, servicing operations, compliance, and corporate service providers. The Director will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Security, Compliance, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to manage the full vendor lifecycle, including: - Sourcing support - RFP coordination - Due diligence - Contract negotiation support - Onboarding - Ongoing oversight - Renewals - Cost management - Vendor performance tracking This role is responsible for ensuring vendor relationships are: - Operationally effective - Commercially sound - Contractually governed - Aligned with organizational priorities It will also maintain a collaborative dotted-line relationship with the parent company’s Compliance Vendor Management team to support alignment with enterprise third-party risk management standards, governance expectations, and regulatory oversight practices. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational and operational discipline with the ability to manage complex vendor relationships across both business operations and technology domains. This is a fully remote position that offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $215,000, plus an annual bonus. You'll also receive our excellent benefits package, which includes medical coverage starting on day one and a company-matched 401(k). Compensation may vary based on experience, location, and other job-related factors. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in vendor management, third-party management, procurement operations, contract administration, sourcing, or related operational functions. - Experience within mortgage servicing, financial services, fintech, banking, or regulated technology environments strongly preferred. - Experience managing technology vendors, SaaS providers, operational servicing vendors, and/or professional services engagements. - Familiarity with third-party risk management processes, vendor governance frameworks, and regulated operational environments. - Experience supporting contract negotiations and partnering with internal or external legal teams. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, agreements, projects, and deadlines simultaneously. - Strong analytical, operational, and financial tracking capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across executive leadership, technical teams, and external partners. - High attention to detail and strong process orientation. - Proficiency with vendor management systems, procurement tools, contract repositories, and Microsoft Office/collaboration platforms. Requirements - Experience supporting residential mortgage servicing operations and technology ecosystems. - Familiarity with servicing platforms, fintech ecosystems, cloud/software vendors, implementation partners, and regulated operational vendors. - Experience participating in RFP/RFI processes and vendor selection initiatives. - Experience building or scaling vendor management functions in growing organizations or transformation environments.
