Role Description As an Estimator, you will play a key role in our power delivery construction projects by preparing accurate estimates and bids, thoroughly reviewing plans and specifications, and analyzing project costs. You will be responsible for creating detailed cost estimates that assist management in competitive bidding and pricing decisions. - Generate bid hour and bid sheets for substation and transmission line projects. - Reach out to suppliers to gather and confirm pricing information. - Prepare detailed take-offs and staking sheets for accurate project estimation. - Review bid documents to ensure thorough understanding and accuracy. - Perform site visits as needed to collect relevant information and assess project requirements. - Collect and analyze historical cost data to enhance estimates for ongoing and future projects. - Develop estimates to support management in project planning, organization, and scheduling. - Interpret blueprints and other documentation to provide accurate time, cost, material, and labor estimates. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - 2+ years of experience in utility construction estimating - Transmission line or Substation. - Experience with EPC Estimating. - Strong background in Microsoft Office applications as well as construction estimating software. - B2W experience preferred but not required. - Ability to write reports and business correspondence. - Sound organizational skills with attention to detail.
