Role Description UX Research at Angi is embedded in a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, and content creators. We build experiences that span both sides of a two-sided marketplace — homeowners navigating big decisions and service professionals growing their businesses — across digital and in-person touchpoints. We're in a meaningful growth period. This isn't a role focused solely on optimizing existing flows. We're building new product surfaces, exploring new experience models, and using research to identify opportunities we haven't yet named. If you're energized by working in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces and helping a team build from a strong point of view, this is a good team for you. This is a rare opportunity to do two kinds of research that most roles force you to choose between: - Co-define and execute blue sky and strategic discovery work alongside research leadership. - Own a portfolio of customer experience metrics programs. Together, these two workstreams give you something unusual: real influence at the front edge of product strategy, and the satisfaction of watching your research drive decisions you can measure. You'll report directly to the VP of Research — which means a short path to the conversations that matter and a genuine opportunity to shape how the research function evolves. Qualifications - 4–6 years of UX research experience, with a combination of consultancy/innovation firm experience and in-house product work. - Comfort operating in ambiguous, 0-to-1 spaces. - Familiarity with how product roadmaps, sprint cycles, and metrics work. - Skilled in qualitative methods (interviews, diary studies, concept testing, usability testing) with growing comfort in quantitative approaches (surveys, behavioral data analysis, A/B interpretation). - Strong, clear communicator. - Collaborative and reliable. - Curious about home ownership and home improvement. - Comfortable working in AI-assisted workflows. Requirements - Independently scope and execute research studies based on product decisions and risks. - Work across multiple data sources: qualitative interviews, usability sessions, concept tests, lightweight surveys, and secondary research. - Participate in and support generative and discovery research. - Synthesize across sessions to identify root causes and motivations. - Connect insights to near-term roadmap decisions. - Communicate findings clearly to product, design, and engineering partners. - Present to cross-functional partners and occasional director-level stakeholders. - Use AI tools to accelerate synthesis and research operations. - Contribute to team practice: share reusable frameworks, improve templates, mentor junior researchers. - Build trusted relationships with product and design partners. Role Description CDI is looking for a Senior Impact Researcher to own our evaluation agenda end-to-end — designing and executing impact and efficacy studies, building the measurement systems and analytical workflows behind them, and translating findings into insight that reaches academic, practitioner, funder, and public audiences. This is a role for someone who cares as much about how research lands as how it's designed — combining deep methodological expertise with a genuine commitment to public-facing communication. You'll work at the intersection of rigorous social science and real-world organizational impact, contributing to both CDI's mission and the broader field of constructive dialogue. This role reports to the Senior Director of Research and Evaluation and works in close collaboration with three key peers on the Research and Evaluation team: - The Research Scientist, who brings subject-matter expertise in moral psychology, dialogue, and bridge-building; - The Senior Research Associate, who owns research operations, survey administration, and UX research; - The Senior Data Scientist, who owns the data infrastructure and reporting systems that evaluation workflows depend on. We identify where donations can best help animals and award grants to promising projects around the globe. Our three core programs are Charity Evaluation & Recommendations, Movement Grants, and Meta-Fundraising. Position summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic-minded individual to join our Programs team. As a researcher, you will keep up to date with developments and empirical literature relevant to effective animal advocacy, assess charities’ programs to find the most promising ones, and help share our thinking with the community to influence funding and decision-making. Leading up to each evaluation season, you’ll engage in literature searches, present and deliberate research findings with other team members with the goal of updating our stances on various interventions and theories of change, and refine our evaluation and grantmaking methods and processes (e.g., by developing quantitative models).
