Role Description For one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior M365 Expert / Modern Workplace Specialist (m/f/d) to support the ongoing Microsoft 365 operations as well as broader governance, data protection and cybersecurity topics. The role is planned as an external full-time assignment and will be closely integrated into an international IT team. - Start: 01 July 2026 - Duration: 3–6 months, with option to extend - Workload: Full-time - Location: Remote - Language: English is mandatory, German is highly preferred, Romanian language skills or proximity to Timișoara would be a plus, but are not mandatory - Contract type: Freelance / external project assignment Tasks - Take ownership of operational support around Microsoft 365, especially Teams, Planner, Loop, OneNote and Whiteboard - Support and further develop M365 governance, with a strong focus on Microsoft Teams - Coordinate and support data protection and cybersecurity assessments in the M365 context - Review new Microsoft features and coordinate required alignments with data protection, cybersecurity and other supporting functions - Manage an external partner responsible for Teams incident management - Support the coordination of the Microsoft Unified Support contract - Participate in the agile IT setup, including PI planning, sprint activities and maintaining stories and features - Support related topics such as Copilot, Copilot Chat, Clipchamp evaluation and M365 integrations Requirements - Strong experience in the Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace environment - Solid knowledge of Microsoft Teams governance - Hands-on experience with tools such as Teams, Planner, Loop, OneNote and Whiteboard - Experience with Clipchamp or Copilot is a plus - Good understanding of data protection, cybersecurity and IT governance - Experience in managing external service providers or partners - Confident communication with IT, data protection, cybersecurity, business stakeholders and management - Experience working in agile IT environments, e.g. Scrum, sprint planning or PI planning - Structured, proactive and reliable working style Company Description Sidekick offers best match experts for IT and digitalization projects!
