Role Description This role will serve as leader of authority with expert level knowledge, focused on providing project management within an office or market and team leadership, mentoring our people, advancing the quality of our work, integrating our range of design services, managing our processes, and delivering solid financial performance. Responsibilities - Lead, develop and nurture a successful partnering relationship with our clients which will lead to future opportunities for CannonDesign. - Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout the life of the project. - Communicate design, construction, and other issues to clients in a clear and compelling way. - Develop a Partnering relationship with the client early in an engagement to establish shared expectations. - Ensure appropriate client and internal communication including written project documentation. - Play a lead role in key meetings and presentations. - Participate in Business Development activity and partner with Marketing and Office Leadership as needed. - Understand our contractual obligations to the client and the project. - Work proactively with the client to identify and obtain approvals for additions to scope of work. - Lead project teams to develop project goals and work plans. - Facilitate the development, evolution and management of the work plan, budget, and schedule. - Manage design and documentation process and implementation of the design during the construction process. - Accountable to maintain the project record, including capturing and documenting key decisions. - Accountable for Risk mitigation and Compliance. - Collaborate effectively with all team members to generate and support a positive team environment. - Implement CannonDesign Method using process expectations, best practices, reference standards, tools, templates, and technology. - Manage and coordinate workload of team and provide leadership of team activities. - Communicate client objectives to team members in a clear and compelling way. - Provide constructive feedback and mentoring to team members. - Identify and share lessons learned with teams. - Be a proactive resource to project teams in their decision-making processes. - Meet with project team members on a regular basis to monitor work in progress. - Responsible for ensuring that all statutory requirements for the project are achieved. - Accountable for the QA/QC process and monitor the technical quality of the projects. - Coordinate with the Project Architect and the Quality leader in planning the work. - Participate in negotiating the contract with other project leadership. - Act as a mentor to less experienced staff and train other project managers. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related degree required. - Minimum of 12 years related experience, including managing projects with construction budgets of $70M required. - HCAI experience required. - Current Licensure preferred. LEED certification preferred. - Capability of performing in a project management role for large or multiple projects. - Strong client leadership and project team management capability for large or multiple projects. - Must possess strong business acumen. - Ability to perform as a leader of authority, with expert level knowledge. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills and the ability to build rapport with the project team and client. - Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam and other data management software required. Role Description The Senior Manager will join at a pivotal moment for the nutrition portfolio. Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) is in an active scale-up phase, with MLE focused on generating evidence to support scale-up decisions, refining the program model for new contexts, and building the learning agenda that will guide further expansion. Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) Supplementation is an established program with a growing multi-country footprint. The MLE focus is on consistent measurement across countries, supporting expansion decisions, and translating cross-country learning into program adaptation. The Senior Manager will contribute MLE leadership at the strategic level for both programs — shaping how evidence informs scale-up, where the program model adapts, and how learning gets generated and used. Key Responsibilities - Technical leadership and design strategy: - Lead the design, development, and maintenance of MMS's global MLE framework and country MLE strategies. - Provide senior technical oversight to IFA's multi-country MLE strategy, including indicator standardization across geographies. - Be the technical owner for MMS analysis plans, sampling methodologies, data collection tools, and analysis outputs. - Oversee large-scale primary data collection for MMS, including survey design, enumerator training, and data quality protocols. - Lead implementation research for IFA and MMS, including process evaluations, pilot studies, and assessments of acceptability and feasibility. - Identify the need for and develop MLE best practices that strengthen the broader nutrition portfolio. - Risk identification, planning, and program decision support: - Identify MLE design strengths, limitations, and risks against the outcomes of interest. - Assess the validity and reliability of program data collection. - Make and defend complex, judgment-based MLE decisions to support program scaling and expansion. - Partner with Program leadership on program strategy and expansion planning. - Advising and external engagement: - Provide thought partnership to regional MLE teams on MLE planning and implementation for MMS and IFA. - Lead cross-country analysis and synthesis of MLE results to inform MMS scale-up decisions. - Support engagement with donors on the proposed scope of MLE activities. - Project management and people management: - Accountable for MLE scopes of work, budgets, and work plans for MMS. - Prioritize multiple work streams, mitigate risks, resolve challenges, and communicate expectations. - Manage the Manager, MLE Strategy initially, with potential for additional people management and consultant oversight in the future. Qualifications - At least 5 years of demonstrated experience developing M&E frameworks and plans. - Advanced degree (Master's required) with significant coursework in quantitative fields (e.g., economics, statistics, epidemiology, or public health). - Demonstrated experience leading large-scale primary data collection. - Strong knowledge of M&E design methodologies, including sampling strategies and power calculations. - High proficiency in Stata (required) and/or R. - Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level technical leadership on complex MLE design and implementation. - Experience managing and developing direct reports. - Ability to lead MLE work across internal teams and with external partners. - Willingness to work hours that overlap with colleagues in India and across Africa. • Manage teams of engineers, designers and drafters as they design and modify new or existing high voltage protection and control systems for utilities. • Direct and lead a team from the bid or "pre-proposal" stage through construction to the completion of the project as-builts, managing the full lifecycle of all projects. • Prepare project Scope of Work (SOW) documentation, create and maintain project schedules using Gantt chart tools such as Microsoft Project, develop and track project budgets at an individual level and at a portfolio level, and ensure that every expectation for the project timeline and budget is met to internal and external stakeholders’ satisfaction. • Communicate with Business Development, client representatives, and internal leadership regarding project progress, deadlines, changes, and roadblocks to ensure proactive project management. • Work closely with Client Success (Operations) to align project schedules with resource needs. • Manage and oversee matrixed reporting teams to drive project progress in collaboration with team supervisors and internal leadership. • Work with each project team to order necessary materials and complete needed procurement support for engineering projects. • Report out project financials and project health metrics to the Operations Manager teams weekly to identify issues and discuss mitigation strategies. • Provide leadership, guidance, mentorship and instruction to project teams and staff members. • Support Contract creation, adherence, and negotiation with internal and external stakeholders. • Leads discussions on project expectations to ensure project leads (engineers) understand the project flow, schedule and budget needs to meet end goals.
