Qualifications - Strong, current understanding of the Burkinabè political, security, religious, and information landscape, including the dynamics of the transition. - Demonstrated familiarity with the principal armed groups and influence actors affecting the information space. - Excellent investigative skills and a curious, sceptical mind. - Ability to operate in a logical, methodical, evidence-led manner with strong attention to detail and rigorous sourcing. - Analytical ability to identify links and connections using contextual information, and to explicitly flag uncertainty. - Strong operational security awareness and discretion, given the sensitivity of the subject matter and the constraints of the press and research environment. - Experience managing a diverse team. Desired Skills - Fluency in one or more of Burkina Faso's local languages. - Knowledge or experience scanning and reporting on social media activity across Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, and TikTok — the platforms that dominate the Burkinabè information ecosystem. - Knowledge or experience in approaches to building resilience to disinformation and harmful influence. - Familiarity with open-source research methods. - Experience in remote management or on remotely managed programs. How to apply To apply, please submit your CV, a writing sample in English or French, and complete the application form questions. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview, which may be conducted remotely unless specified otherwise. CIR encourages applicants from under-represented communities. CIR is an equal opportunities employer. If you require adjustments or additional support to complete this process, please let us know in your application.

AngiAngi is a tech company offering a digital marketplace to connect millions of homeowners across the United States with verified home improvement professionals an
Role Description UX Research at Angi is embedded in a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, and content creators. We build experiences that span both sides of a two-sided marketplace — homeowners navigating big decisions and service professionals growing their businesses — across digital and in-person touchpoints. We're in a meaningful growth period. This isn't a role focused solely on optimizing existing flows. We're building new product surfaces, exploring new experience models, and using research to identify opportunities we haven't yet named. If you're energized by working in ambiguous, early-stage problem spaces and helping a team build from a strong point of view, this is a good team for you. This is a rare opportunity to do two kinds of research that most roles force you to choose between: - Co-define and execute blue sky and strategic discovery work alongside research leadership. - Own a portfolio of customer experience metrics programs. Together, these two workstreams give you something unusual: real influence at the front edge of product strategy, and the satisfaction of watching your research drive decisions you can measure. You'll report directly to the VP of Research — which means a short path to the conversations that matter and a genuine opportunity to shape how the research function evolves. Qualifications - 4–6 years of UX research experience, with a combination of consultancy/innovation firm experience and in-house product work. - Comfort operating in ambiguous, 0-to-1 spaces. - Familiarity with how product roadmaps, sprint cycles, and metrics work. - Skilled in qualitative methods (interviews, diary studies, concept testing, usability testing) with growing comfort in quantitative approaches (surveys, behavioral data analysis, A/B interpretation). - Strong, clear communicator. - Collaborative and reliable. - Curious about home ownership and home improvement. - Comfortable working in AI-assisted workflows. Requirements - Independently scope and execute research studies based on product decisions and risks. - Work across multiple data sources: qualitative interviews, usability sessions, concept tests, lightweight surveys, and secondary research. - Participate in and support generative and discovery research. - Synthesize across sessions to identify root causes and motivations. - Connect insights to near-term roadmap decisions. - Communicate findings clearly to product, design, and engineering partners. - Present to cross-functional partners and occasional director-level stakeholders. - Use AI tools to accelerate synthesis and research operations. - Contribute to team practice: share reusable frameworks, improve templates, mentor junior researchers. - Build trusted relationships with product and design partners. Benefits - Base salary band for this position ranges from $130,000 - $180,000, commensurate with experience and performance. - Eligible for a competitive year-end performance bonus & equity package. - Full medical, dental, vision package to fit your needs. - Flexible vacation policy; work hard and take time when you need it. - Pet discount plans & retirement plan with company match (401K). - The rare opportunity to work with sharp, motivated teammates solving unique challenges. Company Description For over 30 years, Angi has powered the future of the home services industry, creating an environment where homeowners and pros benefit from more jobs done well. - Founded in 1995 as Angie’s List and rebranded in 2021. - Global company with 9 brands in 8 countries and employees worldwide. - Homeowners have turned to us for 300 million home projects and counting.
