Senior Business Development Manager – Life Sciences

QbD Group

• You identify prospects and new customers and try to convince them of the added value of our services. • The initial focus is on Chinese customers interested in the European market (export to EU and/or establishment of EU business). • You expand your network in the Life Sciences sector (Medical Device/IVD + Pharma/Biotech) by playing an active role in various networking associations and by visiting life science fairs. • In addition to an external network, you also build your internal network within the organization with QbD subject matter experts, sales, marketing... We do business together, with you in the lead! • You actively participate in sales team meetings to establish new development strategies. • You are our eyes and ears in the Chinese market. • As partnership building is part of your nature, you strive to establish long term relationships with customers with whom you try to evolve towards a more strategic sales vision. • You initiate and execute different sales actions to reach predefined targets and are able to create sales proposals. • You manage and establish a pipeline of opportunities and ensure that you are always up to date with the latest developments. • You are the first point of contact for your customers and solve their problems with creative solutions. • You assist our marketing team to set up marketing campaigns for the Chinese market. • You translate existing marketing material from English to Chinese so that it can be used for the Chinese market.

Job Requirements

  • You have an understanding of the Chinese life sciences market and have an established network especially in Medical Devices and IVD’s; Pharma/Biotech is a plus.
  • You combine at least 10 years of experience in Business Development activities within the life sciences industry, based on which you can quickly identify existing and upcoming business opportunities for the QbD Group.
  • You speak Mandarin and English fluently.
  • The use of these languages on a daily basis is not a concern for you.
  • You not only know how to get the message across smoothly, but also how to actively listen to customers, partners and colleagues, being patient and keeping in mind long-term solutions and partnerships.
  • You are able to present QbD Group's areas of expertise in a straightforward manner to our customers and propose solutions to their complex problems, with the support of QbD experts when necessary.
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to operate in an independent manner.
  • You address challenges heads-on, and are able to communicate in a convincing and authentic way.
  • You are comfortable working with different tools and systems.
  • Accurate tracking in the CRM system is essential for you! You communicate and report clearly and raise issues in a timely manner.
