Senior Data Engineer

• Lead the design, development, and scaling of complex data pipelines and platforms • Partner with business leaders and engineering teams to translate requirements into production-ready data solutions • Own end-to-end data solutions including modeling, performance, reliability, and cost optimization • Apply cloud-native design patterns to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability • Implement CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and data quality best practices • Provide technical mentorship to junior team members by leading design reviews and conducting code reviews

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering
  • foundational understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT principles, and data warehousing
  • experience with data management fundamentals, data storage principles, and cloud-based data warehouses
  • proficiency in building data pipelines using Python/SQL
  • experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
  • experience in applying CI/CD principles and processes to data engineering solutions
  • a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative discipline is preferred

Role Description Oncology Data Specialist – Abstractor are responsible to complete clinical data abstraction for all reportable & non-reportable primary sites of cancer according to the reporting and timeliness guidelines established by the CoC, SEER, State Registries and other Standard Setters as required. - Maintains Active ODS-C certification. - Meets productivity standards and quality benchmarks while assuring the confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness of all cancer-related health information encountered. - Up-to-date on all current state and national reporting guidelines. - Complies with all Savista/client HIPAA and other privacy requirements and regulations. - Maintains compliance with client’s abstracting policies and procedures. - Participates in training, CEU activities and continuous learning initiatives.
