Technical Business Systems Analyst

Role Description FundView provides cloud-based solutions to power local governments. Our solutions are an elegant, easy-to-use suite of products that will streamline processes, simplify workload and meet the needs of citizens. We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong B2B SaaS background to serve as a key liaison between our Product, Customer Success, Delivery, and Customer Support teams. This individual will play a dual role in both new customer/new feature implementations and internal product roadmap enhancements, ensuring our platform continuously delivers value to the cities and municipalities we serve. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has passion for enabling Customer Success and driving ongoing product improvement in a B2B SaaS environment. Qualifications - 3-5+ years of experience as a BSA, Business Analyst or similar role in B2B SaaS environment. - Hands-on experience with managing multiple client implementations and internal product enhancement projects simultaneously. - Customer Success and/or Customer Support organizations. - Familiarity with SaaS implementation methodologies and data migration concepts. - Deep skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and writing user stories/acceptance criteria. - Proven ability to collaborate across Product, Delivery, and customer-facing teams. - Technical and analytical curiosity with strong problem-solving skills. - MUST be located in the US within CST or EST time zone. Requirements - Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 / Microsoft Office Suite. - Deep experience with process mapping tools (e.g. Lucidchart, Visio). - Familiarity with project management / workflow tools (e.g. Jira, MS Project) to manage assigned tasks, workflows, timelines, etc. Benefits - Join a growing, highly collaborative team where your work directly impacts customer success and product evolution. Role Description The Sr. Systems Engineer is a critical member of the DataSpring Technology team. In this role, you will work with both vendor and internal teams to oversee the smooth operation of a cloud-based application with more than a million users. The Sr. Systems Engineer frequently interacts with Infrastructure, Application, and Security Operations teams to ensure the system is always healthy and secure. The Sr. Systems Engineer supports and works with the Application Operations, Data and Analytics, and Architecture and Infrastructure teams to design and implement the optimal future state of DataSpring’s infrastructure. The Sr. Systems Engineer is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure. Specific Responsibilities - Work with technical vendor teams to ensure cloud-based infrastructure and applications run securely and efficiently. - Creation and exposure of Development environment using Azure Virtual Desktops. - Ensuring cloud infrastructure is patched according to Microsoft and other industry best practices. - Assist with triage and remediation of production incidents, engaging with client technical staff as needed. - Coordinate with internal security and vendor teams to ensure the system meets or exceeds HITRUST, SOC 2, and other applicable security and audit requirements. - Oversee monitoring and management of infrastructure for both availability and performance. - Maintain documentation representing the current state of application and infrastructure components deployed in Azure. - Analyze the Azure cloud environment and make design recommendations to improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Recommend new technologies, practices, and architectures to improve the system, as appropriate. - Participate in or lead infrastructure-related projects as needed. - Participate in the development of a 3–5 year infrastructure roadmap. - Provide technical guidance and assistance to internal and external engineers, product management, and operations personnel. - Ensure software licenses and versions are kept current. - Management of identities in Entra and ensuring users are in the appropriate RBAC groups for their role (ideally accomplished by scripting). - Assist in managed identity/service principal creation along with other application and security tasks. - Identify areas for Cloud cost savings by decommissioning unused resources, changing resource tiers to be cost-effective without causing performance bottlenecks, and identifying resources that are good candidates for reserved instances. - Report on Azure resources, utilization, topology, and related topics as requested by management. Qualifications - Knowledge of allocating, configuring, and monitoring cloud-based resources, including virtual machines, storage, IaaS, PaaS, and networking components. - Ability to clearly communicate highly technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Azure FinOps skills using Azure Advisor. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Scripting skills in one or more areas of PowerShell/CloudShell, Azure Resource Graph or KQL and infrastructure as code in a cloud environment. - Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong familiarity with Azure technologies and management of Azure resources. - Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development processes is a plus. Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical role, with at least 3 years as a Sr Systems Engineer or Sr Software Engineer. - Experience developing or supporting Microsoft .NET applications is a plus. - Microsoft Azure Certifications such as the AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-500 are a plus.
