Role Description Plan, analyze, design, test, implement and maintain hospital and/or outpatient business IT applications. Researches and corrects system and user problems. Works with various primary care clinics, specialty departments, ancillary departments, inpatient units and billing/finance to support practice and implement changes as needed. Essential Functions - Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain Children’s Hospital & Medical Center’s business applications through collaboration with members of care teams, operational leaders, technical team members and other relevant stakeholders. - Research, analyze, troubleshoot and correct system components in a timely manner. Translate workflow requirements into efficient and effective application solutions. - Perform quality assurance and integrated testing of current and newly released vendor functionality to ensure system reliability and maintain EMR integrity. - Participate and coordinate projects across applications as a subject matter expert in defining requirements for changing new & existing systems in alignment with department and organization priorities. Works with the team to define process flows & make recommendations for the most efficient utilization of applications. - Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective and consistent communication. - Actively and accurately maintain issue lists; build documentation and coordination of team tasks as outlined by department policies. - Perform other job related duties as assigned. - Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job. - Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section. - Assists with end-user training and development as needed. - Participates in on-call and monthly maintenance activities. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, a medical profession, or related field is required; experience may be substituted for education. Requirements - Minimum 3 years experience in Information Technology or healthcare field. - Previous Epic application experience and certification. - Must obtain job related certification within 9 months of hire and maintain the certification(s) for duration of employment in IT. - Work after hours and on weekends as needed is an expectation of the job. Role Description The Sr. Systems Engineer is a critical member of the DataSpring Technology team. In this role, you will work with both vendor and internal teams to oversee the smooth operation of a cloud-based application with more than a million users. The Sr. Systems Engineer frequently interacts with Infrastructure, Application, and Security Operations teams to ensure the system is always healthy and secure. The Sr. Systems Engineer supports and works with the Application Operations, Data and Analytics, and Architecture and Infrastructure teams to design and implement the optimal future state of DataSpring’s infrastructure. The Sr. Systems Engineer is a full-time, remote, exempt position and reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture & Infrastructure. Specific Responsibilities - Work with technical vendor teams to ensure cloud-based infrastructure and applications run securely and efficiently. - Creation and exposure of Development environment using Azure Virtual Desktops. - Ensuring cloud infrastructure is patched according to Microsoft and other industry best practices. - Assist with triage and remediation of production incidents, engaging with client technical staff as needed. - Coordinate with internal security and vendor teams to ensure the system meets or exceeds HITRUST, SOC 2, and other applicable security and audit requirements. - Oversee monitoring and management of infrastructure for both availability and performance. - Maintain documentation representing the current state of application and infrastructure components deployed in Azure. - Analyze the Azure cloud environment and make design recommendations to improve scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Recommend new technologies, practices, and architectures to improve the system, as appropriate. - Participate in or lead infrastructure-related projects as needed. - Participate in the development of a 3–5 year infrastructure roadmap. - Provide technical guidance and assistance to internal and external engineers, product management, and operations personnel. - Ensure software licenses and versions are kept current. - Management of identities in Entra and ensuring users are in the appropriate RBAC groups for their role (ideally accomplished by scripting). - Assist in managed identity/service principal creation along with other application and security tasks. - Identify areas for Cloud cost savings by decommissioning unused resources, changing resource tiers to be cost-effective without causing performance bottlenecks, and identifying resources that are good candidates for reserved instances. - Report on Azure resources, utilization, topology, and related topics as requested by management. Qualifications - Knowledge of allocating, configuring, and monitoring cloud-based resources, including virtual machines, storage, IaaS, PaaS, and networking components. - Ability to clearly communicate highly technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Azure FinOps skills using Azure Advisor. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Scripting skills in one or more areas of PowerShell/CloudShell, Azure Resource Graph or KQL and infrastructure as code in a cloud environment. - Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong familiarity with Azure technologies and management of Azure resources. - Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development processes is a plus. Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical role, with at least 3 years as a Sr Systems Engineer or Sr Software Engineer. - Experience developing or supporting Microsoft .NET applications is a plus. - Microsoft Azure Certifications such as the AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-500 are a plus. • Serve as a technical advisor and trusted partner to enterprise customers, prospects, and channel partners throughout the sales process. • Act as a role model and mentor for other Systems Engineers while providing technical leadership in partnership with sales engineering management. • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer environments, business drivers, security challenges, compliance requirements, and decision-making processes. • Architect and deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, executive briefings, and presentations tailored to customer use cases. • Design, deploy, and manage Proof of Concept (POC) engagements, ensuring successful technical validation, measurable business value, and customer adoption. • Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Account Managers, specialists, and channel partners to develop technical sales strategies and support complex enterprise sales cycles. • Translate customer requirements into scalable solution recommendations, including deployment sizing, architectural guidance, and business-aligned outcomes. • Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes, including technical validation, competitive positioning, and TCO considerations. • Refine sales strategy and take command of technical responsibilities across strategic and complex opportunities. • Contribute significant portions of, and/or lead, responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. • Deliver partner enablement and technical training to resellers, integrators, and strategic alliances. • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, webinars, trade shows, and executive briefing center engagements. • Partner with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing teams to communicate customer feedback, product enhancement requests, interoperability opportunities, and market requirements. • Liaise with product and technical marketing to produce white papers, web presentations, blogs, social posts, and other materials that support overall go-to-market plans and objectives. • Maintain deep awareness of market trends, competitive technologies, and evolving industry landscapes to ensure differentiated solution positioning and promote thought leadership internally and externally. • Seek out opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation, and promote roadmap and planning exchanges across internal and external stakeholders. • Serve as the technical solution expert in complex evaluations involving storage, infrastructure, security, and cloud-related architectures.

• Design, build, test, deploy, document, and maintain Power BI reporting solutions and semantic models, including the SQL queries, data pipelines, and dependent systems that power them—continuously assessing platform capabilities, performance, and governance. • Work with IT Leadership, Informatics - Data Management, IT Operations and IT - Business Systems on researching, developing, testing, deploying and documenting new methods and tools for ingestion, processing, sending and sharing of data. • Plan, coordinate and implement security measures (including regular audits) to safeguard information in reporting platforms and computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure. • Specify users and user access levels for each segment of the reporting platforms, as needed. • Select, develop and deploy code to monitor reporting platform performance • Develop reference and workflow documents for documentation purposes. • Revise agency definition of data as defined in data dictionary in regards to reporting and visualizations.
