Role Description Are you a Field Engineer/Technician with an electrical, comms or electronics background? We are currently recruiting a Field Engineer role to maintain the technology on motorways and trunk roads around the Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey areas. You will conduct installation, maintenance and fault-finding activities on a variety of roadside electronic equipment within your patch (VMS, ANPR, MIDAS, Roadside telephones, etc.). I am happy to speak to individuals coming from backgrounds in traffic signals, motorway communication, CCTV and RTPI, as training will be provided for those coming from outside of the sector. Qualifications - Previous experience working in an electrical/electronic/telecoms maintenance environment. - Experience of fault-finding equipment. - An understanding of power and comms. - CCTV or ANPR knowledge would be an advantage. - Current G39, HERS8, NRSWA, NHSS8 Qualification (Highly Desirable). - Full drivers licence. Requirements - Fault response and repair of roadside equipment. - Carry out routine maintenance visits on all equipment in line with provided schedule. - Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce fault rates. - Carry out fault finding to component level. - Coordinate with the lead engineers to arrange maintenance and inspection schedules. - Able to undertake night working when required.
