Role Description As part of its ongoing efforts to grow its infrastructure footprint, Exoscale is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer. The site reliability engineer plays a critical role in ensuring constant availability of the Exoscale platform. The engineering team at Exoscale works on all aspects from designing & developing products to their operation and support. Some of the challenges you will be working on: - Design and maintain our core Linux-based platform ecosystem. - Develop and manage our PKI, secrets management, and security systems. - Contribute to internal platform tooling, automation, and orchestration development. - Enhance the developer experience (DX) by delivering self-service systems and pipelines. - Play a key role in the architecture and design of Exoscale’s platform systems. - Improve processes to ensure scalability, security, and high availability. - Participate in code and change reviews to maintain high development standards. - Join the on-call rotation after completing a training period. Qualifications - Experienced with Linux, including networking and security filtering. - Knowledgeable in platform security components and PKI systems (experience with HashiCorp Vault is a plus). - Proficient in Golang (mandatory for this position). - Familiar with service discovery and DNS systems at scale. - Experienced in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus). - Comfortable working with KVM virtualization. - Skilled in configuration management and large-scale infrastructure. - Passionate about automation. Role Description We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and scale our cloud and infrastructure operations across AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate is hands-on with configuration management, infrastructure as code, automation, and scripting across Windows and Linux environments, and brings DevOps and infrastructure delivery experience. - Operate and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring availability, performance, and security. - Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and configuration management tools (Chef or equivalent). - Develop automation and tooling using PowerShell, Bash, and Python. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Linux and Windows systems. - Support infrastructure lifecycle activities: provisioning, patching, monitoring, and optimization. - Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency. Qualifications - Experience with configuration management (Chef preferred; Puppet/Ansible acceptable). - Experience with AWS architecture and Azure services. - Experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards). - Scripting knowledge in PowerShell and Bash; Python for automation. - Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. - Background in DevOps and infrastructure operations. - Experience managing both Linux and Windows environments. - Ability to troubleshoot and automate operational workflows. - Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK, Prometheus). - Experience with security best practices and compliance in cloud environments. - Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment. • Drive stability and scalability across our global compute platform spanning numerous data centers, multiple public clouds, and on-premise environments, serving as the foundation for every product • Operate and evolve our GitOps delivery model, using Rancher Fleet and Flux with Helm to deploy core cluster services and application workloads declaratively and repeatably • Build self-healing, fault-tolerant infrastructure and internal tooling that eliminates repetitive operational work and reduces toil for both platform and application teams • Own cluster autoscaling and capacity strategy, including Karpenter, HPA and KEDA, and predictive scaling driven by event and calendar data • Define SLOs and reliability metrics for platform components, using Datadog and our logging pipeline to surface cluster and workload health • Support technical growth by sharing knowledge, participating in design discussions, and contributing to a collaborative team culture, including on-call rotation

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, and GitHub Enterprise • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS-native tools and automation frameworks • Build and optimize cloud-native deployment pipelines on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS) • Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration • Implement automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python • Support continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) best practices • Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) on system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization • Manage multi-tenant distributed systems and microservices architectures
