Lead DevOps Engineer

Role Description This is your chance to be a part of an in-house Technology team that's creating consumer-facing, modern technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world! As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the DevOps team reporting to the Director of Pipeline and Platform Engineering, you will support projects at the forefront of hospitality technology progress. - Architect next‑generation cloud platforms and automation solutions. - Devise and evolve code‑driven automation strategies that ensure environment consistency across development, testing, and production. - Build long‑term automation solutions using scripting and programming (Groovy, Shell, Python, Terraform, or Java/JavaScript). - Provide technical leadership and implementation guidance for UI, APIs, and microservices. - Work with development teams to guide best practices, design patterns, and operational standards. - Understand new architectural concepts and recommend improvements from an infrastructure and security perspective. - Support reliability engineering efforts and participate in on‑call rotations for mission-critical & revenue‑impacting cloud services. Deliverables you'll take ownership of: - Design and implement enterprise DevOps architectures, reference patterns, and tooling strategies. - Implement and maintain CI/CD tools and pipelines across the organization (GitLab preferred). - Enable seamless, secure, and available software builds and deployments across Agile teams. - Configure, tune, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred). - Maintain containerized applications with Docker or similar technologies. Qualifications - Five (5) years of experience in Technology or a related field. - Four (4) years with CI tools such as GitLab (preferred), or Bamboo. - Four (4) years architecting and developing automation to support Continuous Delivery. - Three (3) years administering Kubernetes. - Three (3) years on AWS cloud platforms. - Proficiency in scripting/programming in Bash. - Experience supporting reliability efforts, on‑call rotations. - Travel up to 10%. Requirements - Bachelor's degree OR Associate's + 6 years tech experience OR HS/GED + 12 years tech experience. - Seven (7)+ years of technology experience. - Five (5) years of CI tool experience (GitLab or Bamboo), Cloud and Kubernetes platforms. - One (1) year of management experience. - Scripting experience in Python or Terraform.
