Role Description Deine Aufgaben: - Du kommunizierst direkt mit Mandant*innen via Chat, E-Mail und Telefon sowohl auf Deutsch, als auch auf Englisch. - Du berätst unsere Unternehmer*innen als erste Ansprechperson in steuerlichen Angelegenheiten. - Du erstellst Steuererklärungen und Jahresabschlüsse gemeinsam mit unseren Steuerberatern. - Du teilst dein Fachwissen und deine Erfahrungen mit deinen Kolleg*innen, genauso wie diese dich mit ihrem Wissen unterstützen. - Du stehst im regelmäßigen Austausch mit den Finanzbehörden, überprüfst die Einhaltung der Fristen und betreust zusammen mit den Steuerberatern Einsprüche und sonstige Anträge. - Du entwickelst Vorlagen und Mustertexte für unsere FAQ und Kommunikation mit Mandant*innen. - Du unterstützt uns dabei, die richtigen Anforderungen für unsere Software zu definieren und stimmst dich hierzu mit unseren Entwicklern ab. - Du übernimmst allgemeine oder spezifische Projekte, die sich im Arbeitsumfeld einer digitalen Steuerberatung ergeben. - Du nimmst regelmäßig an internen Seminaren zu steuerlich relevanten Themen teil und bringst somit dein Wissen immer auf den neuesten Stand. Qualifications - Du hast eine Ausbildung als Steuerfachangestellte/r erfolgreich abgeschlossen. - Du verfügst über einschlägige Arbeitserfahrung und Kenntnisse innerhalb der Finanzbuchhaltung und des Steuerrechts. - Du kennst dich mit DATEV und der Bearbeitung von Kapitalgesellschaften aus, genauso wie mit der Erstellung von Einnahmen-Überschuss-Rechnungen (Fokus auf Solo-Selbstständige, Gewerbetreibende, GmbHs, GbRs, Holdings). - Ob Berufseinsteiger oder Berufserfahrene: Steuerrecht ist für dich mehr als trockene Theorie – du willst mit innovativer Technologie wie KI wirklich etwas bewegen. - Du hast hohes Interesse und Spaß an der Entwicklung von smarten Lösungen und digitalen Tools (z.B. Payroll Tax Specialsit Remote - East Syracuse, NY $60,000 ‒ $70,000 Annually Position Overview: The Tax Specialist is responsible for the oversight, compliance, and execution of all tax-related functions within the organization. This position ensures accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payments, compliance with multi-jurisdictional tax regulations, and clear communication with clients regarding tax matters. The Tax Specialist works with the Tax Manager and Accounting Department and collaborates cross-functionally with client services, compliance, and payroll to ensure regulatory and operational excellence. This position can be remote or in-person. Key Responsibilities: Tax Compliance & Reporting • Prepare and file all federal, state, and local payroll tax returns and associated payments for multiple clients. • Ensure all tax payments are accurate, timely, and successfully cleared. • Prepare and file all required annual tax reporting (e.g., 940s, W-2s, 1099s, state reconciliations). • Maintain POAs (Power of Attorney) with all relevant tax authorities across jurisdictions. • Recalculate taxes as needed due to rate changes, corrections, or adjustments. • Prepare ad hoc reporting as needed to support internal or client requests.
