Content Lead

General Dynamics Information Technology

• Develops, screens, and edits content for a platform within an internet-based program • Creates digital content including articles, videos, and advertising collaterals • Performs technical tasks associated with internet-based publications • Researches regional and topical media to identify coverage angles and screen content nominations • Applies excellent English and creative writing skills, with proficiency in journalism editing standards • Works nonstandard hours and in on-call status for periods of time as required

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent professional experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Journalism experience, including writing or editing for internet-based or print news publications, highly preferred
  • Background in science journalism preferred
  • Excellent English and creative writing skills
  • Proficiency in journalism editing standards
  • Strong research skills to identify coverage angles and screen content nominations
  • Ability to perform technical tasks associated with internet-based publications
