About the role We are looking for a growth-oriented Account Manager to join our Government segment team. In this role, you will manage and grow a portfolio of government accounts, focusing on retention, expansion, and long-term value creation. You will act as a trusted advisor to your clients-helping them navigate complex policy, compliance, and legal landscapes-while aligning LexisNexis solutions, including emerging AI capabilities, to their needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career sales professional ready to step up into a dynamic, relationship-driven role with strong development potential. Responsibilities - Manage and grow a portfolio of government accounts (initially ~50), focusing on retention, renewals, and expansion - Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across procurement, legal, compliance, and policy functions - Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across teams, departments, and use cases - Own the transition and ongoing management of newly onboarded accounts from Business Development - Conduct 15-20 client meetings per month (virtual and face-to-face), including demos, discovery, and negotiations - Develop and execute territory and account plans aligned to government priorities and procurement cycles - Manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle, including RFQs, RFPs, and tenders - Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, CRM records, and account reporting - Stay informed on government trends, legislation, and regulatory developments - AI Fluency: Drive AI and technology adoption by promoting AI fluency, sharing best practices, evaluating tools, and partnering with business, IT, and leadership to enable effective change. Improve productivity and workflows by identifying and implementing AI, automation, analytics, and digital solutions that enhance decision making, customer experience, and operational efficiency. Requirements - Circa 5 years' experience in sales or account management - Proven ability to manage and grow customer accounts - Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate value, including AI-driven solutions - Familiarity with AI technologies and their business applications - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and navigate complex environments Preferred: - Experience selling into government - Understanding of government procurement processes - Exposure to legal, regulatory, or compliance solutions Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
