Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLS-CADD Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in utilizing PLS-CADD software for the design, analysis, and optimization of overhead transmission and distribution lines. As a PLS-CADD Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize PLS-CADD software to perform detailed design and analysis of overhead transmission and distribution lines. - Generate accurate models, profiles, and plans for new construction, upgrades, and maintenance projects. - Conduct thorough structural analysis, including sag-tension calculations, clearance checks, and conductor optimization. - Collaborate with project teams to integrate PLS-CADD outputs into overall project designs and documentation. - Provide technical expertise and support to project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders. - Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to PLS-CADD and overhead line design. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 2 years of experience working with PLS-CADD software in a professional setting. - Proficiency in conducting structural analysis and design of overhead transmission and distribution lines. - Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and practices related to overhead line design. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. - Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and accurate work. - Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to pursue licensure is a plus. Role Description This role acts as liaison between A/E design firms and field contractors to communicate design solutions that meet business needs. Transforms initial conceptual designs using CAD into working layout documents.
