Role Description The UNICEF Learning Innovation Hub is seeking a consultant to support the implementation and scale-up of digital learning initiatives supporting the Center of Excellence in Nairobi, including UNICEF country programmes across the WCA and ESA region, with a focus on the Learning Passport (LP) platform and the Accessible Digital Textbooks (ADT) initiative. - Provide technical guidance and targeted support for: - Implementation of the LP in both regions – WCA and ESA - Rollout of the Accessible Digital Textbooks initiative in implementing and interested countries - Support the CoE Digital Education Specialist and the LIH Innovation Manager with facilitating regional knowledge exchange - Respond to country technical assistance requests for continuity of learning using the LP and other digital learning interventions - Support the implementation, monitoring, and strengthening of digital learning programmes to expand inclusive and equitable learning opportunities across West, Central and Eastern Africa. Qualifications - An advanced (Master's) university degree in one of the following fields is required: education, information technology, development studies, engineering, social sciences, or another relevant field. Requirements - A minimum of five years of professional experience in Digital Education, with the demonstrated capacity to manage programmes involving many stakeholders. - Experience in digital learning for Children with Disabilities. - Experience managing user-driven design processes for UX/UI. - Experience with UNICEF global programmes such as Accessible Digital Textbooks (ADT) and the Learning Passport is an added advantage. - Experience working in, and engaging with, key markets in the region is preferred. - Experience in teaching with education technology/blended learning is considered an asset. - Experience in accessible digital content creation is considered an asset. - Experience working in a developing country is considered an asset. - Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered an asset.
