Director of Development / Construction Project Manager

Role Description We are looking for a highly organized, results-driven, and proactive leader to work directly with the CEO on overseeing the development and opening of new franchise locations. In this role, you will manage construction projects from planning through launch, coordinating vendors, contractors, architects, schedules, budgets, and operational timelines. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with franchise standards. Experience in retail construction, franchise development, and multi-project management is highly valued. Key Responsibilities - Manage development and opening of new franchise locations - Coordinate construction timelines and project schedules - Oversee vendors, contractors, architects, and subcontractors - Ensure projects remain on budget and on schedule - Manage project milestones and opening deadlines - Coordinate franchise design implementation and build standards - Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve operational issues - Communicate project updates, risks, and timelines to the CEO - Coordinate permitting, inspections, and compliance requirements - Maintain organized project documentation and reporting - Support site selection, development planning, and operational readiness - Ensure successful and timely grand openings of new locations Qualifications - At least 10 years of experience managing retail construction and build-out projects - Strong project management and scheduling capabilities - Experience managing vendors, contractors, and subcontractors - Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple active projects simultaneously - Experience coordinating permits, inspections, and development processes - Strong operational reporting and communication skills - Experience using project management software and tracking tools - Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills - Professional communication skills in English and Spanish - Availability to work 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST Bonus Points for - Experience in franchise development or multi-unit operations - Experience overseeing design implementation and construction execution - Background in retail or fitness franchise environments Benefits - Competitive compensation based on experience - Opportunity to work directly with executive leadership - High-ownership role with direct impact on company growth - Collaborative and fast-paced work environment - Exposure to large-scale franchise development operations
